in ARRYG...there was a discussion on which singer would suit the songs in tamil... lemma start it here with :
1.Barso Re - Sherya Goshal [she did a wow job in the song...and her tamil isnt bad....Munbe Va sounded extra great becoz she sang it beautifully with feeling...never heard such singers did that lately]
2.Tera Bina - Naresh Iyer & Chimnayee [ both has excellent voice and expression..though ARR might sound good too,but i feel a youth singer would do a new magic]
3.Ek E lo muft - Shankar Mahadevan & Chitra Sivaraman [ Ohh yea...i think he would sound great in this song....]
4.Mayya Mayya - Tanvi [ wow...sexy voice she has and would def suit this song...]
5.Ay Hairahe - Hariharan & KS Chitra [ let the veterans in tamil take the honour...no doubt on wut magics they will create it in tamil ]
6.Bazi Laga - Karthik & Sadhana Sargam/Madhushree [ hmm....many might think Sadhana & Madhushree will kill the tamil words... but i think in tamil no 1 can replace these gals husky voice...they will do magic eventhough the tamil is abit broken in some parts :P ]
7.Jaag Hain - ARR & KS Chitra [ no changes should be done in this masterpiece...let them re-create the magic in tamil] :D
wut u guys think???
i'll go for Karthik in Tere Bina......all others ,no change.... :DQuote:

Suriya and Manirathnam share a good rapport.
Suriya was introduced to cinema by Manirathnam's Madras Talkies through Nerukku Naer. It was Manirathnam’s Aayitha Ezhuthu which propelled Suriya to stardom.
As a token of gratitude, Suriya has agreed to dub for Manirathnam’s Guru in Tamil.
Suriya will lend his voice for Abhishek Bachchan in the Tamil dubbing version of the movie which also stars Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan and Bipasha Basu.
Rahman has scored music for the movie. Vairamuthu is penning the lyrics in Tamil.
Amidst his busy schedule, Suriya has decided to allot time to dub for Guru. It may be recalled that in the past, Madhavan and Aravindswamy have dubbed for other actors in Manirathnam’s movies.
Suriya is currently acting in Varanam Aayiram which is directed by Gowtham Menon. He would then act in a movie to be directed by Hari.
An eternal gentleman is Suriya.

Surya has got a cute & soft voice but it won't fit Abhishek Bachchan playing a leader. I remember in Ayudha Eluthu Surya's voice wasn't good for the speech in the village. Too soft.Quote:
