"vaanam niram maarum" [But the ragas are different] from DhavaniKanavugal which got released few years before Janani.
Also MSV has reused the same phrase from his late 70's VJ solo song "Ganga Yamuna saraswathi" [ I don't know the film name]
for the line "vaarayo yen uyire" .
BTW, there is a song "welcome you are welcome" . Can anybody tell the movie and the MD for this song? I think SPB has sung this song.

Ramki, I hesitated to post this. Somehow I am not able to like (?) BMK's singing a cine-duet which should promote romantic mood in listeners. His too much classical 'nedi' does not gel with PS's sweet rendition. Even in Thanga radham vandhadhu, he forced heavy sangadhi's. This is purely my thought & not to degrade his greatness in music world. But I like his solos in Vadaimalai, NoolvEli etc. NOM :-)

His early-day songs are like that. He can sing really light also. Just listen to his astapathi's (there's one in mallu film 'gaanam' - beautiful). I guess kavikkuyil songs can be considered light too.
