(one would expect a man vying hard for work to make money and get to Dubai to show more enthusiasm at the prospect of trade...but no..it is the mountain that ought to come to Muhammad)
GM: இருவத்துநாலு மணிநேரத்துக்குமேல பாடிய வீட்டுல வைக்க மாட்டாங்க...சுடுகாட்டுக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்துரும் (and with that he resumes his game)

S: அதில்லண்ணே, அந்த செட்டியார் பையன் அவுக அம்மா இறந்த அதிர்ச்சியில சுயநினைவே இல்லாம இருக்கான்
GM: அதுக்கு இப்ப என்னாங்கற?
S: அவன அழ வச்சா..பதினையாயிரர்ரூவா பணம் குடுக்குறாங்களாம்
GM: (registers the importance, but hesitates to yield to such quickmoney distractions) []டேய் நீ அடிக்கடி மவனே மனசை divert பண்ணிட்டு இருக்க... போடா

GM: டேய் நான் துபாய் போகணும்டா...அதுக்காகவாவது அழுடா :rotfl:

GM: என்னடா அழ மாட்டேங்குறான்....ஓங்கி அப்பிரட்டுமா
This is why he is the philosopher - how much more bluntly can one define one's relationship with the world?

S: ஐயையோ...அதெல்லாம் வேண்டாம்....டெக்கினிக்கா அழ வைங்க
GM: தம்பி, மீனுன்னு இருந்தா தண்ணிய விட்டு வெளிய வந்து ஒரு நாளைக்கு மனுசனுக்கு உணவு ஆயித்தான் தீரணும் (??!!)
S: த்சு த்சு த்சு த்சு த்சு :lol:
GM: அதே மாதிரி..மனுசன்ன்னு இருந்தா என்னிக்காவது ஒரு நாளைக்கு மண்ணுக்கு போய்த்தான் ஆகணும்
S: ஓஹோ (points to the sky)
GM: ராஜா...டேய் அழுடா..(grabs his chin gently)..டேய் அழுடா...(shakes his head violently)...டேய் அழுடா
(gives up and resorts to divine invocation)
GM: Maestro-oooooo!
(Note the perfection in pronouncing maestro)

Scene2-singing
GM: பெத்து எடுத்தவதான் <pause> என்னையின் <pause> தத்து குடுத்துப்புட்டஆஆஆ :rotfl3:
GM: no effect, scornful look at S
GM: ஆராரிரோ பாடியதாரோ தூங்கிப்போனதாரோஓஓஓஓ
GM: அம்மாவென்றழைக்காத உயிரும் உண்டோ

P_R, To me it's one of the thalaivar's best film. I can literally run the entire video in my head. And my favorite scene in the movie is his intro scene where he arrives from Dubai when his father was in death bed.... remember the dialogue (அதெல்லாம் வெள்ள சொல்ல முடியாதுடா). And in another scene the way he touches the பைல்வான் with a pole after he his dead, the way he touches that guy is so funny that no words can explain. ( நாயோட விளையாடு நரியோட விளையாடு... உயிரோட விளையாடலாமா)

A casual Koundamani fan may like his comedy but may not understand the nuances,. they look at the obvious top layer and enjoy, but it's the ardent followers who can understand the subtlest of emotions & voice modulation that are layered in his comedy. In fact that's what make his comedy timeless classics.

I find the expressions chosen to be very precise in this movie. நாய்-நரி in this case are the typical scavenging animals referred to. How appropriate they figure in a dialogue addressed to a corpse!
