At ASK audio release function,Raja himself had said that he recorded music for 914 films..will check out whether i can get that video and post it here ..

I think we have to do some back work in order to get to his 900th movie..If PS is 908,ASK is 907,Ayyan 906,Gaayam 2 905..In 2009 there were lots of Tamil Releases viz Pazhassi Raja,Nandalala,Naan Kadavul,Vaalmiki,Azhagar Malai,Jagan Mohini,Kadhal Kadhai,Kannukule and Madhiya Chennai..One of these shd be his 900th movie since not sure the dates as to which came first..Even Paa could be a contender..Wish someone gets the full up to date complete list of all 909 films including the latest Sengaathu Bhoomiyile ..

I believe this count of 909 is only with all his straight films which does not include any dubbed films. If so, it has already crossed 1000 long ime back.
Was dhaLapathi advertised as 600th? I don't think so.
Anjali was 1990 July movie and dhaLapathi was 1991 diwali movie, don't think 100 possible within that time gap.
Same way, considering the fact that IR has crossed the 800 (or 900) number, Ramana as 700 could be incorrect as it's a 2002 product. Has he done 200 movies between 2003 & now?
Sorry Thevar Magan was his 600th and not Thalapthi..I remember reading somewhere that Ramana was his 700th..not sure whether that news is authentic..Seems as though only Raja has the list of his movies..Someone shd get it from him :)
I too agree with you VS when you say only straight films constitute 909..Curious to get the actual list..
