horror thread is missing. ok
house on haunted hill by the legend (of the genre) William Castle. very good. Vincent Price is another well known face in b-grade horror history.
it's sad that a perfectly good movie like this get butchered in the name of remake. the only good thing about the remake was xenia ona.. sorry, Famke Janssen.. she's awesome.
As Good As It Gets..
Lovely
Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt
Greg Kinnear was also good !
Watched Schindler's List for the first time. I mainly resisted watching it so far for the really chilling and grim theme but have to give in eventually. Probably one of the best holocaust movies ever made. Very touching and all the more heartening to know it was a true story.
The documentary style and b/w worked very much in favor of the impact meant to be created for the viewers. Loved the background score and never felt it was too loud or intrusive but rather very apt. A lot of scenes still remain etched in memory, to name a few - the little girl with the red coat hiding herself, the gas chamber scene, RalphFiennes trying to execute the Rabbi but the gun won't work, climax scene where Neeson lets out his emotions. An unforgettable movie for me.
8 Mile (2002) - Rapper Eminem's film.
Very Good. I am an absolute Zero in American Contemporary Music(Adhula mattum dhaana nnu kekka padadhu) but this film was well shot well directed and well acted. Eminem for sure can be a good actor. Detroit-ae nerula paatha madhiriae irundhadhu.
