I admire Vijay a lot, says Abishek Bachchan
Abishek Bachchan who owns the Chennai team in the Indian Soccer Leaugue has confessed that he has a great connect with Chennai and it’s people in an interview to News Today. Earlier, when theRaavan was in Chennai for the Gollapudi Srinivas award, he was all praise for his friend Vikram and his favorite filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Now, he says he admires Vijay a lot.
“The list is too long. There comes Rajini uncle, Kamal uncle. They are all greats. Among the younger lot, I admire Vijay a lot. VIJAY IS THE BEST DANCER - PRABHU DEVA
After directing films like Pokkiri, Villu and Vedi in Tamil, Prabhu Deva flew northwards to wield the megaphone for a variety of films in Bollywood. The actor recently held a press meet in Chennai and met reporters to talk about his current and future plans.
Prabhu Deva said that he is working with Ajay Devgn in Action Jackson, following which he will move to Singh is Bling with Akshay Kumar. He also added that he will return to direct a film in Tamil after these two projects hit the screens.
But Prabhu Deva's most interesting words came towards the end of the presser when he said that he loves to work with director Shankar. However, he wasnt called for I. "According to me, Vijay is the best dancer." he concluded.

Vijay accepts Mammootty’s challenge
It was only a few weeks ago that actor Mammootty accepted the My Tree Challenge — an online eco revolution started by environmentalists Abdul Manaf and Imthias Kadeer — from Fahadh Faasil. Subsequently, he had challenged actors Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay and Suriya to take it up. Now, the latest we hear is that Vijay has taken up Mammukka's challenge.
Confirming the news to Chennai Times, environmental activist Abdul Ghani says, "Yes, it's true. Vijay has been shooting in the city and he recently called me and told me that he heard about Mammootty's challenge and would like to accept it." Abdul, however, says that Vijay didn't want to plant just one sapling. "He wants to make a difference. So, we've decided to plant around 25,000 saplings over a significant period of time."
So, who is Vijay nominating to take up the challenge next? Says Abdul, "He will not be nominating any celebrity. He will be challenging school children instead to take this cause forward."

I am still in awe listening to the Vijay version of Selfie Pulla. Its not a great tune. But Vijay's singing has elevated the song to a different level and the person who sang it first is not a bad singer either. He has sung for Rahman recently and thats a chartbuster too. But to leap ahead of him is definitely remarkable. :)
The recent article by Abishek Raaja on Vijay's singing was a good read.
Despite turning everyone off because of his early looks and the type of movies he acted, Vijay's singing even in those early days was peppy. His stunts were quite good too. When he started exhibiting graceful dancing and evolved a causal acting style of his own, he suddenly became an allrounder and a versatile commercial actor :) His comedy timing and sense have also come a long way.

The latest trend is not in clothes and shoes, not in the new edge to movies these days, but is in the condemnable spirit of the public in uniting for the wrong reasons, and hurtfully making out memes, trolling and slashing at artistes that they don't feel entertaining or talented enough in their terms. This is not a new concept - there has always been many when Ajith and Vijay fans had to take it out on each other, and some, particularly Vijay fans, teasing Khushboo and director Venkat Prabhu, about which Khushboo herself had complained to Vijay. The most recent hike on the matter happened with director Linguswamy becoming the subject of entertainment and troll, after the audience's dissatisfaction with 'Anjaan' on the contrary to his ambitious interviews about the movie.
When director Venkat Prabhu pitched in for Linguswamy, he was made a subject of jokes too, and the cine industry thinks all this is really getting out of hand. Now Ilayathalapathy has come out with an opening warning to his fans. He gathered his fan club for a meeting and announced that if anybody from the fan club involved in such demeaning activities, then he would have to take the strong decision of dissolving the fan club altogether! We're aware of Thala Ajith dissolving his fan club, as the mob supported a particular political party, under his name. Keeping this action in mind and also with due respect to their hero, Vijay fans are keeping their words metered.
