Actually, here he invokes comedy with a subtle sense of satire, and elegant ripostes. Not at all easy - when you talk about comedians and heros doing comedy, it is a particular aspect of comedy that they master(Kamal being the later exception ofcourse). They have their brand of comedy that they excel in - with NT, you get the whole range. You sense that the disrespectful, no-holds-barred, sarcastic, whip-tongued, remorseless prankster is a persona that NT had hidden under his real-life nice-guy persona. He brings it out with vengeance here, resulting in much hilarity and a sense of awe at a man who can, at will, bring out a whole new persona you never knew existed in him. What I mean is it is not like he is acting out muradan muthu - that impish muradan had been residing inside him for all these years, and this story was just an outlet for one of the thousand myriad multiple personalities that NT played host to in his mind.
The man is just not an actor. He is something else.
