'Vijay is a Superstar'- Samantha admits
Young actress Samantha who is back in Tamil with two interesting projects Kaththi with Vijay and Anjaan with Suriyaa opened up in a recent interview, about the former film that is being directed by A.R.Murugadoss.
The Naan Ee actress known for her candidness has spoken much in awe about A.R.Murugadoss.Currently shooting under his direction in Hyderabad, Samantha said, she has always been in awe by Murugadoss and loved his Ghajini as well as Thuppakki. Samantha appreciated the director for giving equal importance to lead female roles in his films, recalled how his cool attitude wiped of her initial tensions about shooting for such a big project.
Speaking about 'Ilayathalabathi; Vijay with who she recently got to dance for a fast beat number in sultry locales of Hyderabad, Samantha said, Vijay is a superstar and she considers him as desitny's favorite child.
Kaththi is being produced by Lyca Entertainments and Ayngaran international. The film is progressing at a brisk pace and likely to hit the screens for Deepavali 2014.

Vijay's Kaththi from April 14th
Director AR Murugadoss had sent Vijay fans into a tizzy after announcing the short and to-the-point title Kaththi. To cash in on the upbeat mood, word is that the team is working towards revealing the first look of the film in a couple of weeks, specifically on April 14th.
One may recall that Thuppakki’s first look too was released in the month of April in 2012 with the film coming out for Deepavali the same year. This is likely to be the plan of action for Kaththi too.
With reports suggesting that Vijay will be appearing in a double role, it will be mighty interesting to see how much the first look poster will reveal along with the title design. Meanwhile, the team including heroine Samantha are chipping away in Hyderabad at the moment.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Kaththi, directed by A.R.Murugadoss and featuring the sensational Anirudh's music, is gearing up for a possible Diwali release. Samantha and Neil Nitin Mukesh are the other leading stars in this Lyca Productions venture.
2 songs from the movie have already been shot in Chennai's airport and in Hyderabad. There are a total of 5 songs and a rocking theme track in the film. Anirudh and Aadhi have lent their vocals for Vijay's intro number in the film, which promises to be a never-seen-before experience.
Now to the all important question on whether Thalapathy is singing in the album, the answer is a firm Yes. This one is surely going to send Vijay fans into a frenzy.

Samantha: Vijay Sir is really a down to Earth Person. It was really hot when Shooting for #Kaththi in Hyderabad, he didn't even ask for a fan nor did he ask anyone to hold an Umbrella for him, he held it on his own. I have never seen a Star like him in my Life.

Comedian Satish is slowly but steadily rising in his career in Tamil films. He will be seen in Maan Karate as an IT professional with Siva Karthikeyan and is also working with IlayathalapathyVijay in A R Murugadoss’s Kaththi.
While talking about his experience with Vijay and Kaththi, Satish says that he is really fortunate to have been associated with stalwarts like Vijay and AR Murugadoss so early in his career.
He adds, “I was very nervous when ARM sir introduced me to Vijay on the first day and I was blabbering something. Understanding my situation, Vijay took me to his caravan and talked for a while”.
“He even invited me to lunch with him on some days”, Satish adds. All these had made the comedian shed his inhibition that helped in a smooth deliverance of his work. Satish has completed a 20 day schedule in Hyderabad for Kaththi.

Looks like all his leading ladies have had nothing but good things to say about him. He was Simran's favourite co star and Jothika's favourite actor (her engagement was announced when she gave the interview, Kumudam or Vigadan? Not sure), Anushka, Hansika, Amala Paul, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana all but gushed about how quiet, hard working and down to earth he is, now Samantha joins the club. It's like they go to the sets expecting him to be arrogant or something because he is so withdrawn :)

Kajal's next film is with Dhanush, directed by Balaji Mohan. Amala Paul did Nimirndhu Nil after Thalaivaa. Velayilla pattadhari going to release soon. Samuthirakkani has signed her for his next film 'Kitna'. Tamannaah is yet to sign her next Tamil film.

After the withdrawal of Santhosh Sivan’s Inam fr
om the theatres for its alleged support to Sri Lankan govt, now the Tamil Eelam issue has moved to Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie Kaththi. The film directed by AR Murugadoss is being shot in various cities and stars Vijay and Samantha in the lead. The movie’s songs are by Anirudh.
The controversy about Kaththi is due to one of its
producers, who is supposed to be an ardent supporter of
Rajapakshe. Kaththi is a high budget movie and it was
earlier said that Ayngaran International will produce it. But
as Ayngaran alone could not bear the high production cost,
another corporate got into the production, namely Lyca
Productions. The owner of Lyca, Subashkaran Alliraj, is
supposed to be close to the Sri Lankan president
Rajapakshe and has availed several business contracts for
his mobile company using his influence in Sri Lanka.
Lycamobile is a virtual mobile phone networks that
operates in several countries.
Various Tamil organisations across the globe are in a state
of shock after coming to know of the involvement of Lyca
in the movie Kaththi’s production and they are now gearing
against Vijay and Murugadoss. They allege that they are
waiting for a response to their letter to Vijay asking him the
reason for opting to do a film by joining hands with those
who killed thousands of Tamils in Sri Lanka. Apparently,
the Tamils across the globe want Vijay to withdraw from
the film.
It has to be recalled that Vijay’s earlier film, Thalaivaa got
into trouble due to some outfits and the film ended up as a
failure. With new dark clouds in the horizon about Kaththi,
it needs to be seen whether Vijay will be able to tide over
this issue smoothly or not!
