I think so too. It is easily understandable from the first teaser (released a year ago) where the lady falls down in slow motion!
And, there was not a single character in the movie that did not perform well. Everybody did extremely well
Kodukkapulli's "appadi ellam edhuvum illa... avar enga appa" - So good!
It was really a different experience.
> No lengthy dialoges, very short, crisp dialogues.
> Camera work awesome
> Unusual BGM
TK has got a fantastic technical crew. Hope he sticks to the same team for his next movie too!
Quote:

Generally if u want to catch those rare movies, keep an eye before hand by visiting this site - http://www.nowrunning.com/bengaluru/showtimes.htm
But the best of the best way is to look at Daily thanthi print edition ( e-paper version doesn't have the resolution enuf to read the theater names!)
padam nall irukuthu...peachu ellam vala val kola kolannu illa... dialogues are crisp.... actors suit well to the charecter....Quentin Tarantino, guy ritch or coen brothers padam tamila partha mathiri irrukuthun silar ezhuthi irunthanga.... aana ennaku onnum appadi theriyala....but movie is appreciable and I enjoyed the movie very well.

thanks balaji! I downloaded the app :)
Nice to know Fame Cinemas releases all Tamil movies but still i could not travel that long, some times due to logistics reason. Still its the movie ads which come in dailythanthi which releases updated list of ALL theatres, including normal theatres other than Multiplexes.
Last Saturday or Sunday's TOI supplement carried an article titled "SPB Charan in Dire Straits?"
Seems he had invested heavily on making and promoting AK, and the movie's bad performance in BO badly affected him. The article also stated that Charan is in such a bad financial state that he is planning to sell of his dad's recording studio (Kothandapani studios in Saligramam) to pay off his debtors.
Coming to think of it, the only movie of SPBC which ran well was Chennai-28. All others were major flops - Mazhai, Naanayam, Kungumappoo, AK.
After reading almost the whole story in bits and parts, i saw this films last week. very engaging. great attempt. கொஞ்சம் புரியிராப்ளையும், இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் crispaagavum, ஒரு மசாலா item songum சேர்த்து எடுத்திருந்தா கொஞ்சம் ஓடிய்ருக்கும். Some times over compromise will do much bad.
Yes, heard SPB leased out that studio which he built (named after his guru). Sad :(
Got to watch most of the film in a poor print online - climocks not available. Nalla irundhuchu, andha appan character and acting
Avlo high budget padamaa idhu? But I think he did take the movie to forEn pilim festivals and all.
TRKR kku adutha padam kidaikkaadhu..
The production of the movie started long time back.. Probably interest would have gone up.. Also for Marketing and release he had spent quite a bit..
அப்பிடி என்ன Marketing க்கு செலவு செஞ்சார்னு எனக்கும் தெரியல. மற்ற படங்கள் அளவிற்கு Posters/Banners/TV Ads எதுவும் நான் பாக்கல. In fact I felt, AK wasn't promoted well. Before release it created a hype but that was only among the elite audience. As you said, he might have spent a lot on taking the movie to Film Festivals. Delay in releasing the movie must have increased his debts.
aaaiii jolly... naanum elite.
SS, நான் என்ன சொல்ல வரேன்னா, magazines, websites and bloggers quite frequently posted articles about AK before its release - About the star cast, presence in film fests, TK KK etc but the masses in Pattees and Thottees of TN weren't aware of its release. One of my friends still calls it "ஜாயி சரப் நடிச்ச தமிழ் படம்" When the movie was announced the Paper ads were quite creatively designed (Pulp fiction) but later on they didn't continue it.
i totally understood and agree with ur post h_h.
Yeah, the biggest loser (definitely more than Freddie/Thalaivaasal Vijay of TM) in TFI - the best part of the movie for me. All the scenes involving him were the most impactful for me. Who is this actor?
OTOH, Yasmin's performance was a letdown - Characterization, innoru murai paarkanum...
agree with all the perusu's here.
that character was looking so natural and free flowing, only that there was a bit of extra effort in the kozhi sandai scene...
That was an excellent scene, I think
maybe, naan paarttha thiruttu printla paadhi dark'aa irundhadhu... and the sound was also bad like i heard him screaming unnecessarily...
Who is Freddie?
