Looks like Balu Mahendra's Thalaimuraigal is ready for release. Not sure, when the audio (if there are songs) will be out.

Maybe it's too jazzy for podhu makkal or something like that? No idea. It's easily my favourite from the album...that violin part at the end of the second interlude is incredible. Sir is taking risks in his interludes again, first on NEPV and now again on this album.
Somehow kalvane doesnt work for me,,,i suspect it wont work either for the masses.
The best songs for me in the album is Jeevane, mugilo, chellam..in that order.
Enna vendum,,sounds from the past,,..
Putham puthu kalai shouldnt be remade..why bother if it is going to sound exactly like the old version. Why didnt anyone request IR to make changes to the interludes ( albeit only 10% if need to). that would have made an interesting new version. Sigh!
^^^ It's not that Kalvane is too complex, it's just very authentically Western (other than the lyrics, there is next to nothing that's Indian about the song) so most IR fans - who also mainly listen to Tamil/Indian film music might not find it easy to relate to it. But the melody is beautiful and I'd suggest that it's only a matter of growing on you.
I think kalvane is the best of the songs. Ramya seems to be perfect for it
Rehash of putham puthu is disappointing, i was hoping for something different.
love jeevane and raaja's version of mugilo
Chellam didnt seem to click as well as it did with the teaser
enna vendum is fogettable
I wish he uses someone other than YSR although YSR is much better here than NEPV
Overall, awesome album!
