We told you about Veeram getting dubbed in Telugu after remake talks failed. Now*Mirror*has learnt that Jilla, another Tamil blockbuster, is all set to be remade in Tollywood. When the film was released, there were speculations that megastar Chiranjeevi and his son-actor Ram Charan Teja would reprise the roles played by Mohanlal and Vijay in the Telugu version. However, we have learnt that the Telugu remake will not feature Chiranjeevi, but Ram Charan looks certain for the role of Vijay if things fall into place as expected.Though top producers of Tollywood had approached Chiranjeevi for the Telugu remake of Jilla, he shot down the proposal owing to various factors, including the forthcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi's 150th movie has been in discussion for the last two years. However, it is getting postponed every time because of various reasons. The speculation about his 150th movie became intense earlier this year as the industry believed that Chiranjeevi would take advantage of the election year.However, a source close to Chiranjeevi said the megastar has no time for movies. "It is true that two producers approached Chiranjeevigaru for Jilla remake. But this is not the right time. Besides, his 150th movie cannot be a remake. If at all his 150th movie happens, it will be completely based on local subject reflecting the sentiments of Andhraites. He will not accept any remake project," the source said.*The movie may go on the floors later this year and the director of the original, R T Neason, will direct the Telugu version as well. But the producers are not clear who will reprise Mohanlal's role in the Telugu version.
