Hi Everybody,
Watched ASK in Kuwait, the movie moves like swallowing a jelly , smooth and humours around, With apt screenplay , Cinemautography and music, the actors are performed well with ease. Kuddos goes to Suseendran who made each frame remaings in us even after we left the theatre. IR sir might have given much more effort in the background , may be the budget factor restricted him!!. We should appreciate and encourage movies like this with good story , screenplay and music, and phase out the hype of starcast.

ராஜா தொடங்கும் இசைப் பல்கலை !
“கனவு வேண்டாம்: நிகழ்த்திக் காட்டு. இதுதான் இசைப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் மந்திரம்.”
படு உற்சாகமாக பேச ஆரம்பிக்கிறார் இசைஞானி இளையராஜா. தன் நீண்ட நாள் திட்டமான இசைப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்திற்கு தெலுங்கு நடிகர் மோகன்பாபு ஆதரவுக் கரம் நீட்ட, திருப்பதியில் அமையப் போகிறது இளையராஜாவின் இசைப் பல்கலைக்கழகம். அவரிடம் பேசினோம்.
உங்கள் இசைப் பாடம் எப்படி இருக்கும்?
“எந்தப் பல்கலைக்கழகங்களின் பாடத்திட்டத்தை வைத்தும் சொல்லித் தராமல் எனக்குத் தெரிந் ததை நானே நேரடியாக சொல்லிக் கொடுக்கப் போகிறேன். பின்னணி இசையில் உள்ள நுணுக்கங்கள், ஏற்கனவே எழுதப்பட்ட பாடல்களுக்கு எப்படி இசை அமைப்பது, ட்யூனுக்கு எப்படி பாடல் எழுத வைப்பது, ஒரு படத்தின் பின்னணி இசையை எங்கு மெளனமாக்கி விடுவது, எங்கு தொடங்குவது, எந்த இசைக் கருவியை எங்கு பயன்படுத்துவது என்று எனக்குத் தெரிந்த விஷயங்களை கற்றுத் தரப்போகிறேன். முதலில் இருபது மாணவர்களை நானே தேர்வு செய்து பிரசாத் ஸ்டுடியோவில் துவங்கப் போகிறேன். உலகத்தில் எங்குமே இசைக்கு என்று யுனிவர்சிட்டி கிடையாது. அது நம் நாட்டில் வரப்போகிறது.
ஆந்திராவில் இசைப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் வைக்க என்ன காரணம் ?
“மோகன்பாபு என் நீண்டகால நண்பர். என் மேல் பாசமும் மரியாதையும் வைத்திருப்பவர். அங்கே அவர் நடத்தி வரும் கல்லூரி ஒழுக்கத்திற்கும் கல்விக்கும் பெயர் பெற்ற நிறுவனமாக இருக்கிறது. உதாரணமாக ஒரு சம்பவத்தைச் சொல்கிறேன். காரில் நானும் மோகன்பாபுவும் போய்க் கொண்டிருந்தோம். அப்போது சாலையில் ஒரு பையன் உடுத்தியிருந்த அலங்கோலமான உடையைப் பார்த்து காரை நிறுத்தி “ஏன் இப்படி ட்ரெஸ் பண்ணியிருக்க. நீ எங்க படிக்கிற”ன்னு கேட்டார். அவருடைய கல்லூரி பேரைச் சொன்னதும் கோபத்தில் கண்டித்து விட்டு, “இனிமேல் இப்படி ட்ரெஸ் பண்றதை நான் பார்க்கக்கூடாது” என்று அறிவுரை கூறிவிட்டுச் சென்றார். அப்படி மாணவர்களை ஒழுக்கத்திற்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்து படிக்க வைக்கிறார். நான் தற்செயலாக திருப்பதி கோயிலுக்குப் போயிருந்தபோது அவரைச் சந்தித்தேன். அப்போது அவர் “உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்த இசையை நீங்களே எடுத்துச் செல்லாமல் மற்றவர்களுக்கு கற்றுக் கொடுக்கலாமே” என்றார். அப்போது நான் “யாரும் எதையும் கொண்டு வர்றதுமில்லை. எதையும் எடுத்துப் போவதும் கிடையாது. கொடுத்துட்டுப் போக எனக்கு ஒன்றும் ஆட்சேபனை இல்லை” என்றேன். திருப்பதி மலையடிவாரதில் மோகன்பாபுவுக்குச் சொந்தமான இடத்தில் இந்த இசைப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தைத் தொடங்க இருக்கிறோம். இசையைப் பற்றி இங்கேதான் யாருக்கும் அக்கறையில்லையே!”
”ப்ரியா” படத்தில் கேட்ட புது அனுபவத்தை “அழகர்சாமியின் குதிரை”யின் இசையில் பார்த்தோம். என்ன மாயாஜாலம் செய்தீர்கள்...
“எப்போதும் நான் கொடுக்கற அதே இசையைத்தான் இதிலும் கொடுத்தேன். சுசீந்திரன் என்னிடம் கதை சொல்ல வந்த அந்த நேரத்திலிருந்து இந்தக் கதைக்குள் நான் இருந்தேன். அதே போல ஹங்கேரியிலிருந்து பின்னணி இசைக்காக வந்திருந்த இசைக்கலைஞர்களும் பட்த்தின் காட்சியோடு ஒன்றிப் போனார்கள். அதில் ஜான்ஸ் என்கிற இசைக்கலைஞர் வாசித்த கஷ்டமான வாத்தியமான ’பிரெஞ்சான்’ இசைக்கருவியை நீண்ட நேரம் மூச்சை அடக்கி வாசித்தார். இப்ப அந்தக் காட்சிகளில் தியேட்டர்களில் ஆடியன்ஸ் கைதட்டி ரசிக்கிறார்கள் என்கிற தகவல் வருகிறது. நல்ல கதைக்கு பெரிய நடிகர்கள் தேவையில்லை என்பதை இந்தப் படம் நிரூபிச்சிருக்கு. இது நல்ல விஷயம்.

The reason why he chose BSO and how every note comes out of them with the soul is completely different from others. How Maestro correctly identifies that difference.
Lot of insights into his music and clearly expresses that he never tries to show his 'medhavithanam'.
That too towards the end of the show where he stresses the directors not to first fix an artiste and then select the story with the idli vadai analogy is too good. Hitting the nail on the head.
Not to be missed!

I googled, but could not find. Probably he said 'French Horn' which was misquoted.
ha ha... brenchon and french horn... english words in tamil are always strange and funny.
