Oh is it. I stand corrected then.
I knew about Vetri Vizha but Amaran is news to me.

Yes, Amaran was directed by K. Rajeshwar. Pratap Pothan played a cameo in the film (the loosu-with-a-past role) though. They're good friends. Rajeshwar wrote many of the films that Pratap Pothan directed. Meendum Oru Kaadhal Kadhai, Vetri Vizha, Seevalaperi Paandi etc.
Hmm looks like he has a nice bunch of films in his resume as a writer. SeevalappEri Pandi is quite a decent effort with Julius Ceaser and all :-)
K.Rajeshwar apparently wrote AvaL AppadiththAn (in a recent interview). That was news to me. I thought that movie was written by Rudriah and dialogues by the writer VaNNanilavan.
No, 'avaL appadiththAn' was written by Rudriah, Vannanilavan and one Mr. Somasundareshwar. (All of them are credited together, thankfully, for "thiraikkadhai-uraiyAdal.") Initially, I didn't know that the third writer was actually K. Rajeshwar who wrote with that name (is that his real name or a pseudonym?).
On an sidenote, Ananthu contributed much to the film (and its making). The film even starts with an ultimate thank-you note to the man without crediting him with anything specific. It just says, "அனந்த்து" (in quotes). :)
Here's Vannanilavan reminiscing about the making of the classic.
Oh periyaval-lam decide pannitingala. Ok :wink:Quote:
