MGR went to Russia in July 1973 to attend the Film Festival. On his way he went to London and was interviewed by BBC. The interviewer is Mr.Krishnamurthy, he interviewed our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR in London Bush House.

About the BBC Interview:
First when I heard this 17 minute interview I did not know where the interview was taken and I mentioned that the year should be 1974. But recently one Mr.Ramesh from London contacted me and told that the interviewer Krishnamurthy is his father. And further he emailed me some more images with our beloved Leader MGR and the interviewer Krishnamurthy. And also mentioned that his father Krishnamurthy expired on Feb 1974. So the interview should be in early 1974 or 1973 July - August. Since the Film Festival was held in Moscow on July 1973.
Mr.Ramesh told that the interview took place in BBC Bush House, Strand, London, WC2B 4PH. For further informations and photos of MGR shots in BBC studio are in the link below.

பத்மினி பிக்சர்ஸ் சார்பில், பி. ஆர். பந்துலு அவர்கள் தயாரித்து .இயக்கி, 11-01-1968 அன்றைய தினம், சென்னை குளோப், பிளாசா, அகஸ்தியா, மேகலா, ஸ்ரீனிவாசா, ஆகிய திரை அரங்குகளில் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
ரகசிய போலீஸ் 115 படத்தின் இதர சிறப்புகள் :
1. சென்னை நகரில் சுமார் 100 மீட்டர் தூரமே உள்ள 2 அரங்குகளில் (குளோப் மற்றும் பிளாசா) ஒரே சமயத்தில் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
குளோப் அரங்கில் 15 நாட்களும், பிளாசா அரங்கில் 78 நாட்களும், மேகலாவில் 64 நாட்களும்,. அகஸ்தியாவில் 56 நாட்களும், ஸ்ரீனிவாசா அரங்கில் 50
நாட்களும், தினசரி 3 காட்சிகள் வீதம் வெற்றிகரமாக ஓடியது.
2. செவிக்கினிய ஆறு பாடல்களாகிய -
கண்ணே - கனியே, முத்தே - மணியே ..... என்கின்ற ஜோடிப் பாடலும்,
உன்னை எண்ணி என்னை மறந்தேன் என்கின்ற பி.சுசீலா பாடிய தனிப் பாடலும்,
கண்ணில் தெரிகின்ற வானம் கைகளில் வாராதோ என்கின்ற ஜோடிப்பாடலும்

1988 ல் சங்கம் (குளிர் சாதன வசதி கொண்ட திரை அரங்கம்) கொட்டகை நிறைந்த காட்சிகளுடன் ஓடி புரட்சி செய்தது.
1992ல் ஆனந்த் அரங்கில், அப்போது வெளியான புதிய படங்களுடன் போட்டி போட்டு 12 நாட்கள் ஓடி சரித்திரம் படைத்தது.
சத்யம் காம்ப்ளெக்ஸில் (வளாகத்தில்) உள்ள 3 அரங்குகளிலும், வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசி பண்டிகையை முன்னிட்டு நள்ளிரவு காட்சியில் இந்த ஒரே படம்
திரையிடபட்டது கவனிக்கத் தக்கது.
சில வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு புவனேஸ்வரி அரங்கில் திரையிடப்பட்ட போது 7 நாட்களில் 72,128 ரூபாய் வசூலித்தது. சமீபத்தில், மகாலட்சுமி அரங்கில்
14-12-12 முதல் திரையிடப்பட்ட போது ஒரு வாரத்தில் 95,300 ரூபாய் வசூலித்தது.
இத்துடன் 1968 ல் வெளியான போது, பிரசுரிக்கப்பட்ட தியேட்டர் பாட்டு புத்தகத்தின் முன் மற்றும் பின் அட்டையுடன், படத்தினை உருவாக்க பாடுபட்ட கலைஞர்கள் தகவலும் இணைக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது.

MGR Speech:
Here is the video clip of our beloved Leader MGR Election speech in Bhavani place, year 1980. MGR's rule was dismissed by Indira Gandhi Government in early 1980. But MGR returned to power with absolute majority over Congress and DMK strong alliance. The speech is just 6 minutes. But the impact is higher which resulted votes in favour of MGR's ADMK.

Here is another MGR speech clip, propounding what ADMK will do if they come to power. This speech was shot in the year 1977, Doordarshan Chennai studios, and at that time MGR devotee and one of my friend Mr.Alagarsamy was working in Accounts department. On that day MGR was having problem with his throat. This is the third take which our MGR took to finish the speech. The time given is 10 minutes but MGR completed the 10 minute speech within 7 minutes.

Below video clip is the Cup used by MGR in Nadodi Mannan, the same cup is with M.G.Chakrapani family. MGR's grandson MGCB Pradeep has given me an opportunity to touch and take photo of this revered cup.

When I touched it I found that the cup is made of glass. The cup is very thin like paper a delicate art work there is no company name, our MGR should have asked to make specially for this film.

Manickam (MGR) is the leader of a small fishing community named Thirukaai Meenavargal. In the same area, Alaiyappan (S.V.Ramadhaas) is the leader of a second group named Sura Meenavargal, in opposition to Manickam’s group.
The enmity between the two groups goes way beyond competition. While Manickam is honest, compassionate and principled, his counterpart, Alaiyappan, is exactly the opposite, driven mainly by greed. Manickam's father main wish was to end the dispute between the two groups, and he persuades them to be friends. However the Sura Meenavargal refuse, and beat him to death. Manickam promises to fulfill his father's wish, and works hard to end the dispute.
The person responsible for fuelling this enmity between the two groups is the man who stands to gain the most from it all – The village Zamindar and Yajaman (M.N.Nambiar). Alaiyappan’s blind allegiance is to the Zamindar.
Manickam soon falls in love with Alaiyappan's daughter Muthazhagi (Saroja Devi), and she shows the same. However, their romance is strongly disapproved of by their communities. Things further escalate when Manickam again goes to Sura Meenavargal to seek peace, and he gets beaten up to his apparent death. Because of this, his men nearly kill Alaiyappan, who is then saved by a mysterious old man. Thankful to the old man, Alaiyappan allows him to stay for the night at his home. Muthazhagi later realizes the old man is actually Manickam in disguise, but keeps it a secret from everyone.
One day, it is a boat race between the two communities. But Manickam (still in disguise) chooses to go with Sura Meenavargal, and they eventually win the race. However, his fake beard falls down after the race, and everyone recognizes him as Manickam. The Thirukaai Meenavargal, enraged for his betrayal, forces him to leave Muthazhagi.
When Alaiyappan suddenly goes bankrupt, zamindar agrees to help him, but wants to be married to Muthazhagi in return. Alaiyappan, initially hesitant, later agrees but Muthazhagi is not ready. She is kept custody at the zamindar's mansion and is unable to escape, even Manickam (in a new disguise) is unable to save her. But the zamindar's wife (Jayanthi) secretly helps Muthazhagi out of the mansion. However, the former gets caught in the act by the zamindar, who then kills her. He begins to chase Muthazhagi, but is cornered by Manickam with whom he starts a battle. Shortly later, the local police arrive and arrest the zamindar, because they witnessed him killing his own wife. With both the communities finally reconciling, Alaiyappan agress for Muthazhagi and Manickam to be married.
