Thank you grouch070. I too had a similar feeling that these guys are over-analyzing the movie and seeing stuff which weren't even meant to be there. But what you are saying is very true and yes, from now on that is how I am going to watch these kind of movies. If I understand it is well and good, if I don't even that is okay.
The Great Buck Howard
...played by the great John Malkovich. Collin Hanks play a Matthew Broderick character, his dad appears in two scene playing his father. Otherwise, one of those gentle films with lots of piano plonking and soft noise that will fail to wake up a post-milk sleeping babies and gives that dopey eyed puppy look to award committees. Watch it for Malkovich.
The Bourne Identity (2002)
Solid start to a blockbuster franchise. Matt Damon is super sharp as a "CIA Asset". Franka Potente is too good. Acts like a sweet heart and immensely likeable. In my experience I've observed European Actors to always good. Stunts are glorious. Sorry Bond fans, Bond films look super silly to Bourne with an exception to may be the last Bond film.
The last Bond film tried to be Bourne, that's why most of us hate it.
Good decision they made then  :yessir:
Stan, the Bond films were never meant to be realistic. Even the grim License To Kill has some silly goofy moments. Back in 60s when Bondmania ruled, they were also making more realistic spy flicks like The Spy Who Came From Cold or the Harry Palmer films which incidentally was produced by one of the Bond producers. It's supposed to be outlandish, a bit over the top, good one-liners and not too far away from the original source (Fleming).
I like watch both type. Liked the first Bourne mini-series which was slower, not frantic like this one which is not bad by itself.
Thanks Groucho :)
Searching now The Spy Who Came From Cold or the Harry Palmer films.
