Surya and Reema Sen doing cameo in Avan Ivan
Surya and Reema Sen are doing a cameo role in director Bala's upcoming film Avan Ivan. The scenes involving the actor were shot for 3 days recently and Reema's portions are yet to be shooted.
Buzz up!Following the grand success of Aayirathil Oruvan, Reema Sen did not signed any project in Kollywood as she didn’t come across any good offers. Since Avan Ivan is a big project involving biggest brand names of actors and technicians, the actress accepted the offer.
Sources reveal that the film’s shooting will be completed by first week of December and producers are planning to release the film on January 14, 2011 on the occasion of Pongal.
The film is produced by Kalpathy S Agoram of AGS Entertainments and features Aarya and Vishal in the lead roles.

Namitha's Ilaignan gets a huge ship!
Art director Thotta Tharani is erecting a huge set of a ship for Namitha and Pa. Vijay starrer film Ilaignan. He is giving final touches to it in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
Buzz up!The look and feel of the ship takes back us to pre-independence period. He is recreating the royal windjammer sail-boat of British Raj era. Soon, the scenes involving Namitha and other actors will be shot on this set.
The movie is the screen adaptation of M.Karunanidhi's Thaai Kaviyam novel, which is set in the 1940s. Namitha plays the role of a baddie in the film. It also features Meera Jasmine, Khushboo, Ramya Nambeesan in the key roles. Suresh Krishna is directing the movie and S. Martin is the producer

Raktha Charithram on October 22
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has decided not to release the first part of Raktha Charithram on October 22 because the makers are not keen on revealing Surya's look, prior to the release of the Tamil version. Telugu and Hindi version of Raktha Charithram – 1 are scheduled to hit the screens on October 22, while the Tamil version will release along with the second part on November 19.
Buzz up!Sources close to Ram Gopal Varma has revealed that Surya will be appearing during the last 10 mins of the first part. If it gets released in Tamil Nadu, it will gradually reveal the look of film. Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions has also agreed to this as he felt that the Tamil version shouldn’t been affected by these releases.The Tamil version is nothing but sleekly edited versions of both the first and the second part.
However, Vivek Oberoi has a huge fan following in Tamil Nadu, primarily for his kind gesture of adopting an entire village of Tamil Nadu that was affected by Tsunami in 2004. Although, Ram Gopal Varma hasn’t made any Tamil film, still there is a large section of die hard fans for his movies. With Surya and Priyamani as the main highlighting factors of the Tamil version, Dayanidhi Azhagiri plans for a bigger release of Raktha Charithram.
Although the songs of the Tamil version were released a couple of weeks earlier, none of them have become popular due to the lack of publicity.

It is a big day for three persons tomorrow.
Other than Ram Gopal Varma, who is waiting for a hit after a sting of flop films like Rann, it is a big day for Vivek Oberoi and Priyamani too!
The last few films of Vivek also have been big flops and he hopes to get back into the top range after this film (if it becomes a hit).
On the other hand, Priyamani's debut film in Hindi, Raavan, was a big flop.
Speaking to a news channel today, she said that she is keeping all her hopes on this film.
"If this film becomes a hit, then I would get a pan-Indian recognition" she said.

Manmadhan Ambu’s audio is all set to be launched in Singapore later this month. Why Singapore of all places, is a question that many a movie buff has been pondering over these days. Is this a competition of sorts between the producers, directors and stars to get the biggest ever audio launch for their movies? Remember Endhiran’s audio launch was an extravagant affair that took place in Malaysia?
No, says director KS Ravi Kumar. He explains that Manmadhan Ambu is a film based in a cruise ship and was shot extensively in foreign countries. The producer and director felt that it would be apt to hold the audio launch function on a cruise ship but since such ships do not visit the Indian ports on a regular basis, they decided on Singapore.

திரைப்படங்களுக்குத் தமிழில் பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டுள்ளதா, அதற்கு வரி விலக்கு தரலாமா என்பதை முடிவு செய்ய நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள கமிட்டி முடிவு செய்யும் படங்களுக்கு மட்டுமே கேளிக்கை வரி விலக்கு அளிக்கப்படுவதாக தமிழக அரசு விளக்கம் அளித்துள்ளது. இதுதொடர்பாக தமிழக அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ள செய்திக்குறிப்பு:-
தமிழில் பெயர் வைக்கப்படும் திரைப்படங்களுக்கு மட்டுமே, கேளிக்கை வரிவிலக்கு அளிக்கப்படும் என்று அரசின் சார்பில் ஏற்கனவே அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அந்த அடிப்படையில் கூடுமானவரையில், பெயர்ச் சொல்லாகவாவது படத்தின் பெயர் தமிழில் அமைந்துள்ள திரைப்படங்களுக்கு வரிவிலக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. உதாரணங்கள்: சிவாஜி, ஏகன், பாஸ் (எ) பாஸ்கரன், கோவா, எந்திரன் போன்ற திரைப்படங்களாகும்.

தமிழில் சமீப காலமாக தொடர்ந்து தரம் தாழ்ந்த படங்கள் வெளியாகிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன என்று டைரக்டர் மிஷ்கின் கூறியுள்ளார். சென்னையி்ல நடந்த சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாவில் டைரக்டர் மிஷ்கின் கலந்து கொண்டு பேசினார். அவர் கூறுகையில், இப்போது வருகின்ற தமிழ்ப் படங்களைப் பார்க்கும்போது தமிழ் திரைப்படத்தின் தரம் கீழ் நோக்கி போய்க் கொண்டிருப்பதாகத் தெரிகிறது. தரம் தாழ்ந்த படங்கள் வரிசையாக வந்து கொண்டே இருக்கின்றன. நான் இயக்கிய "அஞ்சாதே, "சித்திரம் பேசுதடி ஆகிய படங்கள் தரம் தாழ்ந்த படங்கள்தான். வியாபாரத்துக்காகவும், ரசிகர்களைக் கவருவதற்காகவும் நல்ல சினிமாக்களில் சில விஷயங்களை திணிக்க வேண்டியிருக்கிறது. சில விஷயங்களுக்காக இரண்டு படங்களிலும் வித்தியாசமான முறையில் படமாக்கப்பட்ட குத்துப்பாட்டை திணிக்கப் போய் என்னை "குத்துப் பாட்டு ஸ்பெஷலிஸ்ட் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டார்கள். நல்ல படம் எது என்பதற்கு நான் விளக்கம் கொடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்க முடியாது, என்றார்.
