With due respects to Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan,Another drawback for Raja Raja Chozhan the poor BGM score by him. Though songs became a hit, The BGM was pathetic. Had it been MSV things would have been entirely different.

Dear Mr.Murali sir/Ragavender sir/sharda madam
NT had never acted in Devar Films though I heard they were good friends. Any particular/interesting info on this?
MSV had also not scored music for Devar films though Devar offered him. That was because MSV did not want to ruin the chances of KVM (who had helped MSV during his days of struggle)who was the asthana MD for Devar films at that time.
Any such interesting background?
Regards
Shiv

Shiv,
As for as I know there is no specific reason for Devar not casting NT in his films except due to the fact that Devar belonged to the opposite camp. In spite of there being a misunderstanding between Devar and MGR during Thaikku Pin Tharam [1956] which lasted for 5 years [till Thayai kaatha Thanayan that came out in 1961], Devar did not attempt crossing over probably due to the fact that his style of film making was entirely different from that of NT films. That's why he did movies with the likes of Anandan in the interim. But as you said NT and Devar shared a very good rapport. NT attended the marriage of Devar's son Dandaayuthapani in Marudha Malai(?) and you must see that photograph. NT with the curly hair and holy ash smeared all over his forehead would be so handsome to look at.
Same manner if you notice Balajee never crossed over. He remained loyal to NT. There was a saying in film circles. Sivajiku oru Balaji, MGR-ku oru Devar.

Devar's 'mAppiLLai' R Thiyagarajan told in Jaya TV's 'thirumbi pArkirEn' programme, during his marriage with Devar's daughter, NT, on behalf of 'mAppiLlai veedu' and MT, on behalf of 'peN veedu' exchanged the 'nichaya thAmbbolam' tray, which anyone never get an oppertunity like that.Quote:

Between 'thAikkupin thAram' and 'thAi sollai thattAthE', Devar produced movies with others, and some of them are...
Neelamalai thirudan

After he joined with MGR again, Devar made a record that he is the only producer giving two movies per year with MGR.....

Devar always use one sentence for his success... 'muruganum mirugamum irukkum varai enakku kavalai illai'.

I think we should equip ourselves to ask right infos or clarifications to get a wealth of unheard infos.
