Our own Nadigar Thilakam, the acting University has acted without any song in Andha naal. But this is a songless movie
Nov Sir,
Great Kamal Sir has acted without any song in Uyarndhavargal but his role was that of a speech impaired guy.
Again you know, he proved in Silent movie that he can act even without dialogues. In Pesum Padam

I also enjoyed this song in Jaya TV thEn kinnam yesterday. What a song. In her first movie with NT itself Manjula more attached with NT. I also enjoyed the last song of yesterday t.k. 'mannikka vEndukirEn... undhan aasaiayai thoondukirEn' from Iru MalargaL.
Wow... what a lyric by Vali, what a music by MSV, what a picturisation by ACT, what expressions by NT & Padmini. Super.
On monday also, one music director gave a 'special thEn kinnam' in Jaya TV. He played 'pottu vaiththa mugamO' from SES, with the comment 'SPB ellOrukkum paadittaarE, nadigar thilagathukku innum paadalaiyEnnu naanga yEngikkondu irundhapOthu indha paadal vandhathu'.
Nowadays there are more channels playing hits of old and middle aged songs. Isaiyaruvi (a sub channel of kalaignar TV), Mega TV, Win TV etc. We are enjoying more old, mid old songs from them.
Ofcourse, lots of films came without songs after TM. In those days, when songs played a major role in both the leading heroes films, the director & NT had the guts to try it out with no songs for the hero - and that too in a musical subject !!!Quote:

If Kamal had acted without a duet in a musical sub.like Ninaithale Inikkum or Enakkul Oruvan, then it can be appreciated.

Magnificent performance.
Also watch Thoongadha kan indru ondru. Very casual acting but highly expressive ! The end of the song will show a shot he will casually remove his wig while walking . Wonderful acting by the University Sir !
Good that atleast you are bringing some worthwhile topics ! We need more people like you .
