Media is really cowards on this issue, its ok for them to be sponsored by Lyca, but they must not sponsor a movie because of the possible link between Lyca mobile owner Subashkaran Alliraj and M., Rajapaksa.

This accusation of links between Lyca and MR came up very recently and what has Vijay to do with that? After issues during his latest releases, he obviously wouldn't have signed this project if he knew of these issues.

Ajay, Lyca mobile controversy is there much before they signed Vijay-Arm movie, remember VijayTv-Raja concert in London sponsored by them?? so, industry might well aware of Lyca mobile's relation with Rajapakse..
The film was started by Ayngaran and Lyca was not a part of it. Lyca came in later when Ayngaran was not able to go for the budget single handedly.

Rubbishing all such rumours, Ayngaran International’sKarunamoorthi said, “Ayngaran has been in the industry for a long time - we have distributed around 2000 movies in foreign lands. And, in regard to Kaththi, Lyca Productions is supporting us financially. That’s it. All the rumours circulating that we are working alongside the Lankan government are entirely false and baseless.”
Regarding the movie, he said, “Ilayathalapathy Vijay plays double role in the movie. 40% of the shoot is completed, and the movie will be out by Diwali.”

Vijay's Kaththi set for Diwali release :
Tamil superstar Vijay's upcoming action film Kaththi will hit the screens this Diwali, said its co-producer Karunamurthy, who has collaborated with Subhaskaran to produce the film.
"We have decided to release the film on Diwali. There will be no change in the release date. We have completed about half the film," Karunamurthy told IANS.
A.R. Murugadoss is directing the film and this is his second movie with Vijay after Tamil blockbusterThuppakki, which also released on Diwali in 2012. (Also Read: Vijay to share screenspace with Sridevi)
There's no sentiment attached to the film's release date, says Karunamurthy.
"We are not releasing our film on Diwali because Thuppakki had also released on the same day. Stars' films are usually lined up for festival release and since Diwali happens to be the next big festival, we are releasing our film on the same day," he added.
The film also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Neil Nitin Mukesh in important roles.

AR Murugadoss’ next directorial with Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Kaththi is progressing at brisk speed. Coming after the combo’s blockbuster Thuppakki, Kaththi is one of the most expected projects of this year.
From what we hear the team is at present shooting some night sequences in Valasaravakkam, and the shoot will go on for three - four days. Reportedly, the team will shoot some sequences in Chennai for around 15 days before shifting to its next schedule.
The movie is produced by Lyca Productions. Samantha and Neil Nitin Mukesh are the other leading stars in the movie. Anirudh scores music for this movie.
