Then there was Ghilli/Jana and Thiruppachi/Ji that were not head on clashes but released within a short interval.
Frankly Vijay has done better in the head on clashes. But my personal opinion is that it is a futile exercise to compare say a Pokkiri and a Aazhwar. No point when a below par movie of star clashes with a better one of the other. If we had a Ghilli vs Mankatha or a Mankatha vs Thuppakki sort of a battle it would be juicy and we get to know who has got a better crowd pull.
