Around 14 years back he was telling the same about Kamal......... being a die hard fan of kamal .......... anyway for his position in his core area (hindi movies) he neednt act / do such false praise stuff..still somehow the appreciation / praise does not sound genuine....

RR, Venkkiram (ofcoarse others),
Could you please talk more about the song "Manamaganini Sathiyam" (male version), please ?
Basically I need to know the carnatic music/tala structure & instruments to which I am quite new (and trying to learn its theories).
Well, firstly, is it even Carnatic ?
Thanks.
EDIT :
Let me give you some instance of what I am thinking :
The song basically uses the Lullaby for Kid Krishna (famous concept in Carnatic Music) and masks it with romantic lyrics, still keeping the prime words that describe Krishna intact like :
'Kanney' into Kanner
Sathiyam Sathiyam Idhu Sathiyamae
Oru Kuzhanthai Polae Oru Vairam Polae
Unnidam Thorpaen
Artha Jaamam Thirudan Pola
etc...
The tune floats between diffrent rythms and the melody is quite soothing. This is here it has a fine Carnatic touch, but I am unable to infer it keeping in mind the choice of instruments. If I am not mistaken, the wind instrument that I hear is shenai. If so, its not carnatic but hindustani and add in the make over to the theme of the song it becomes a variety genre. I am more interested to know the carnatic touch (if its there) and its flow in the song => Basically, how to make it out ?
Tried really hard to like Kochaidaiyaan songs. Songs might be pretty good to others, but they certainly are not my cup of tea. Again I didnt like minsaarakanavu songs when I heard them first coupele of times, they ended up becoming major hits and earned A.R Rahman and singers awards.
I dont know about others, but I have higher expection for Shankar-A.R Rahman songs than Rajni-A.R Rahman. Ai am waiting for you
