Great post on 'anjali,' PR. I've to admit that watching 'pasanga' made me realise the accomplishments of Mani Ratnam in 'anjali' in a much better way. I do realise that the former is set in a completely different universe and its ambience is itself an accomplishment, but I think it has little to offer in terms of seeing the world through a kid's viewpoint. Here's an earlier post on the two films.

தமிழ்ப் பதிப்பில் நானா கேரக்டரில் நடிக்க ராஜ்கிரணின் கால்ஷீட் கேட்டுள்ளார் மணி. தற்போது ராவணன் எடிட்டிங் பணியில் இருக்கும் மணிரத்னம் போஸ்ட் புரொடக்*ஷன் வேலை முடிந்ததும் அஸான் வேலையில் அடுத்தடுத்த கியர்களைப் போடவுள்ளாராம்.

We told you some time ago this was coming. Sources say Mani Ratnam had invited Rajkiran to his office a few days ago discussed a role in his forthcoming bilingual. Mani's Raavan is all ready and set to hit the theatres. Mani had even released a teaser for Raavan to confirm things.
After releasing Raavan Mani will start again a bilingual in Tamil and Hindi. Mani wants Rajkiran to play an important character in the Tamil version of the new venture. That was the reason for the hush meeting. Mani has tentatively titled the new film Aasaan and scheduled to start the shoot in November.
Meanwhile sources close to Rajkiran says that Rajkiran will launch a new film titled 'Thirumangalathu Yaanai' in the first week of June. It will be produced and directed by Rajkiran himself. And he hopes to be ready for Mani's film in November.
