ajay, i feel manish pandey worth more than that... just because he is uncapped he cant get the money wat he deserves-a? i m sure he will be getting in crores if this rule 'uncapped players cant approach franchise' is not there... its injustice to them... :roll:
Pandey apparently rejected an offer from RCB to sign him afresh and showed interest in a deal with the Sahara Pune Warriors. RCB were offering Pandey fees as per the IPL rule which states that domestic cricketers who have played for more than two seasons but less than five should not be paid more than Rs 20 lakh.
Pandey's market price is obviously more. For instance, his former Under-19 colleague Saurabh Tiwary has pocketed Rs 7.36 crore by virtue of his debut in the Indian one-day team. Pandey's market price even if less than that, would certainly be more that Rs 20 lakh. But he's being pressed to be content with that or else face a ban under IPL rules.

Looks like Pune would've promised him something much higher than his allowed fee of 20L and RCB has smelled that. So they've decided to lodge a formal complaint.

That shud not be a problem. Only the extra fees or the under table dealings is the problem here. If it is proved that the deal was allegedly made before monday (yesterday), the day from which the uncapped player signing was bound to start, then Pandey would be in deep trouble.

no he can choose any franchise he wants as long as the WRITTEN contract is for 20L :P however as Ajay says..
