I think the fun is in the casual tone of the conversation and resonance with a typical chat among youth on a friend. I did like this bit because that is exactly the tone and words with which a typical youth gang discusses an absent friend. And the seriousness turn at kudikkarAn is also a nice touch. That is to say, it is a very mild concern, you dont really think too much of the impact of drinking habits of (even a) close friend, but it does strike you as odd and a point of discussion among the other friends, and the seriousness accorded to that subject in Jai's tone was also typical. You'd forget it the next moment and you'll do nothing about it but at that moment , your concern is genuine

correct,the tone inwhich the dialouge is said may b spontanous and funny...if the comedy is explanied in words by us may not sound funny at times

Was watching parts of Kaadhala Kaadhala on KTV a few days back. Oru sila edathula Kamal/PD/MSV kalakkal, but matrapadi maha blade :x
