Suresh,
I got this CD almost 4 yrs back, but did not listen this song until very recently.
Was the CD from Oriental. If yes, I think I should be able to get it somewhere.
DR,
The 'Aanazhagan' song is quite interesting. A very different rhythm and movement. Like the softness Raja induces into the song by his singing and the orchestration, especially the second interlude.
Todays Pick:
Song: Jeeva Huhagithe & Anuraaga
Film: Nee Nanna Gellalare
Singers: Rajkumar & SJ
Year:1981
Today I am sharing one of my ever green song in kannada..because of its compositions and rajkumar's voice and the way he sung.
when I had heard this song 1st time I got surprised after seeing the Rajkumar name in the singers list..as I knew Rajkumar as only an actor.
there are two songs (Jeeva Huhagithe & Anuraaga) which I am feeling as 2 versions because some similarity there which I could not figure it out.

I tried lot not to give youtube link but could not help this time.( I have a feeling that, old songs would be very good when you do not see its video)
Great songs. Written about them before. Rajkumar was a huge surprise package, I remember, for me when I heard it. Anuraga packs yearning in a capsule while jeeva hoovagidhE is a celebration of deep love. The visuals, as ever for Raja, put one off yet you cannot still change the channel if you happen to catch it, for such is the power of the tune and the orch and the singing that even the ordinariness of the visuals cannot drive you away.
Plum,
I agree, Rajkumar was the huge surprise package on this song...that too, when I was hearing this song, did not have any info about rajkumar, other than he is an kannada actor like rajinikanth in tamil.
Todays Pick:
song: Thontharavu Pannathinga
Film: Porantha veeda Puguntha Veeda
Singers: KSC and Mano

This song is an prelude special..complete prelude sections are awesome. Not much fit to singers as the song is erotic number but I liked the way Chitra starts the song.
