Though Mr.Kalaiventhan had given the analysis, my own follows.
When MGR was made to drink alcohol, the frame when MGR sips, my heart skipped a beat. Is this a MGR movie how can he do such thing. And this movie is his 100th, how MGR challenged his own image how confident he is or was.
The song has many trick shots with five MGR's in one frame without computer graphics of those days are worth to mention.
After the song "Dhairiyamaga" MGR gives his over coat to the old lady out of benevolence. When he enters his house, Sowcar Janaki (a widow) is panicked and she trembles and speaks with her eyes, about how MGR is going to behave.
There is no close up for MGR (unusual for Tamil movie for this situation) comes near Sowcar Janaki and pulls the sheet to cover her fully, stressing the fact even under the influence of alcohol his character is unblemished.
