"Vijay's fan club 'Vijay Makkal Iyakkam' donated clothes and medicines worth Rs 10 lakh," a source close to actor said
Tamil superstar Vijay's fans have contributed clothes and medicines worth Rs 10 lakh to the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal.
"The members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, the fan club initiated by Vijay himself, have come together for this noble cause. They've donated clothes and medicines worth Rs.10 lakh," a source close to the actor told IANS.
Vijay is currently busy shooting for his Tamil filmPuliin Cambodia. The actor expressed happiness over the touching gesture by his fans. He tweeted:

Cannot agree more. I've always maintained here and otherwise that Vijay "the performer" has always been overshadowed by Vijay "the mass hero". He is way too underrated as a performer.
