OTOH I can remember some 2-3 occasions when NSK managed to be funny.
For example, in Chakravarthi Thirumagan contest song with MGR, the latter asks a question in song. NSK buys time for an answer by bursting into an impromptu aalaapanai :lol:
prabhu ram, yes, there is something about katcheris, paatus and NSK comedy - the vignaganthai song does raise a few smiles, not laughs, though.
And that one in Deiva Piravi where as the kadhakalatchebam bhagavathar, he finishes a few continuous lines with "...fan" - eppadi iruppfan, enna koduppfan etc - to indicate that the table fan has gone off is a favourite of my father's - and as a child, I did find that funny.
