Top 3 Tamil Songs of this year (2005) - so far ...

Hey folks....

Well got tired of the usual bickerings between mds...... for a change .. lets list out the top 3 songs of this year so far ... here is my list


1. Noothana Nee Noothana ....(karka kasadara)

U love it or hate it..... there are no tow ways about this song ...this song simply takes the cake by a mile...Great melody ... stunning arrangement...

2. oh Sukumari (anniyan)

Very catchy ... visually stunning.. Harris comes up with trumps..together with shankar... though andankaka seems to be the toast of the day ...this one stands out ...

3. Poo Poothathu (Mumbai Xpress)

Melody at its best ..... IR ... what can we not expect from him ... though katrinile varum geetham ....seem to run close.....this song somehow is more appealing....

3rd song slot is empty really.......2005 has been dry compared to 2003- parthiban kanavu, Leysa Leysa,Kadhal kondein,Kakka kakka, Jeyam, Boys and manmadha rasa..........

3 Vadi vaadi From sachin

The fact that CM, Raam, Sachin discussed here shows how dry 2005 is so far. My list here so far is (1 in each category, not in any particular order)

Kannum Kannum Nokia - Fast, peppy
Kurangu Kaiyil Maala - Jazzy
Raa Raa from Chandramukhi - just for lakalakalakalakalaka!

3.Minmini Kankalil - Karka Kasadara

Thoush I have to agree that this is the best female solo song to have come out this year.... usually its very difficult to produce such song without making the audience take a 'smoke' break ....

And I am equally suprised to find

vaadi vaadi ... as a pick from soo many ..

agreed is a great song to dance.... i think DSP's songs have good rythm and beat in general .... mayavi ..sachien to name a few..

poo poothadhu (MExp)- a very stylish, smooth jazzy number with classy interludes, humming and lilting melody
kurangu kaiyil (Mexp) - quite a complex composition with amazing interludes, tricky note placements , the BEST song for a comedy situation in TFM For other MDs this song should serve as a lesson
rara from CM - though inspired, for 2005, this is the best classical song based on Sallapam

Anniyan is pathetic album with Kumari song a bit better.......i dunno y ppl. r considering this to be gud album.......i've tried Kadhal yaanai on my car speakers as well- they r no way near to Girlfriend's effects....infact Anbe Aaruyire sounds more booming than kaadhal yaanai......

For ARR fan Anniyan is a garbage, but Anniyan songs pretty good and will stand on top for quite a while. So no need to even compare Ullam Ketkumae. UK is way above Anniyan, and miles way from other albums.

Kanavugal song is the BEST song, cuz it is matching the situation and supported by very strong lyrics. Dont know who wrote the song, but hats off to them.

i dun think UK album or anniyan album can be rated above AA or CM...CM songs r def more better guys!!(eventhough had many copy bits from here & there,esp from Apthamitra)
