could have lived longer...
He had his debut in "poovilangu"
"idhayam' "pagal nilavu" "puthu vasantham" are few movies to his credit during early years. Not to mention "vetri kodi kattu" , "aanandham" "porkalam" of recent times. Songs from most of his movies were quite hit.

சென்னை: பிரபல திரைப்பட நடிகர் முரளி திடீர் மாரடைப்பால் மரணமடைந்தார்.
நேற்று இரவு முரளிக்கு மாரடைப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. இதையடுத்து உடனடியாக அவரை தனியார் மருத்துவமனை [^] ஒன்றுக்குக்கொண்டு சென்றனர். அங்கு அவருக்கு தீவிர சிகிச்சை அளிக்கப்பட்டு வந்தது. ஆனால் சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி இன்று காலை முரளி உயிரிழந்தார்.
பாலச்சந்தரின் நாயகன்:
1984ம் ஆண்டு கே.பாலச்சந்தரின் கவிதாலயா தயாரிப்பில், அமீர்ஜான் இயக்கத்தில் வெளியான பூவிலங்கு படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழ் திரையுலகில் நாயகனாக அறிமுகமானவர் முரளி. இவரது தந்தை சித்தலிங்கையா பிரபலமான கன்னடத் திரைப்படத் தயாரிப்பாளர் ஆவார்.
கே.பாலச்சந்தர் அறிமுகப்படுத்திய வெற்றி நாயகர்கள் வரிசையில் இணைந்த குறிப்பிடத்தக்க நடிகர் முரளி.
முதல் படமே சூப்பர்ஹிட் ஆனதால் வெற்றிப் பட நாயகனாக உருவெடுத்தார். தொடர்ந்து பல்வேறு வெற்றிப் படங்களில் நடித்தார். காதல் படங்களுக்குத் தனி இலக்கணம் வகுத்தவை முரளி நடித்த படங்கள்.
பகல் நிலவு, இதயம், அதர்மம், காலமெல்லாம் காதல் வாழ்க, பொற்காலம், வெற்றிக் கொடி கட்டு, சொன்னால்தான் காதலா, இரணியன், சுந்தரா டிராவல்ஸ் உள்ளிட்ட பல வெற்றிப் படங்களில் அவர் நடித்துள்ளார்.
சாதனை படைத்த இதயம்:
முரளியின் நடிப்பில் வெளியான புது வசந்தம், இதயம் ஆகிய படங்களில் மிகப் பெரிய வெற்றி பெற்ற சூப்பர்ஹிட் படங்களாகும். குறிப்பாக புது வசந்தம் தமிழ்த் திரையுலகில் புதிய வரிசைப் படங்களுக்கு இலக்கணம் வகுத்தது. இதயம் திரைப்படத்தில் காதல் சொல்லப்பட்ட விதமும், முரளியின் நடிப்பும் அனைவரையும் வெகுவாக கவர்ந்தது.

பாணா காத்தாடி தவிர தனது படங்கள் அனைத்திலும் ஹீரோவாகவே நடித்த பெருமைக்குரியவர் முரளி. முரளியின் தந்தை கன்னடர் என்றாலும், அவரது தாய் ஒரு தமிழ்ப் பெண். இதனால் பிறந்தது பெங்களூர் என்றாலும் சுத்தத் தமிழராக இருந்தவர். ஈழத் தமிழர்களுக்கு ஆதரவான போராட்டங்களின்போது கன்னட திரையுலகின் எதிர்ப்பையும் மீறி கலந்து கொண்டு தனது உணர்வைப் பதிவு செய்தார்.
அவரது மகன் அதர்வாவை சமீபத்தில் ஹீரோவாக்கி அழகு பார்த்தார் முரளி. அவர் ஹீராவோக நடித்த முதல் படமான பாணா காத்தாடியில் முரளியும் சிறிய ரோலில் நடித்திருந்தார். மகன் நடித்த முதல் படமே முரளியின் கடைசிப் படமாக அமைந்தது திரையுலகில் பெரும் சோகத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
சிவாஜி கணேசன், சரத்குமார் [^], விஜயகாந்த் [^], பிரபு என தமிழ் திரையுலகின் முன்னணி நட்சத்திரங்களுடன் இணைந்து நடித்துள்ளார் முரளி.
47 வயதில் துயர மரணம்:

he was looking like a 30+, if he had wished, he wud have done dozens of supporting role... i never thought he is from kannada, his accent was like a normal tamil. good to hear that he supported eelam tamils cause and bad to hear that a good heart is no more :(
cant imagine, how shocked his family will be. RIP, nnu sollavum manasu varalai. i think his body wodnt be deformed and wud still look same, till his body touches mother earth :cry:
