சுந்தர பாண்டியன்

தீண்டியவன் நண்பனாகவே இருந்தாலும் தீங்கு செய்யாதவனே சுந்தரபாண்டியன்!
நண்பனின் காதலுக்கு சசிகுமார் உதவப்போக, அந்தப் பெண் (அறிமுகம் லட்சுமி மேனன்) இவரையே காதலிப்பதாகச் சொல்ல... தொடரும் குதூகலமும் குரோதமுமே படம்!
'சுப்ரமணியபுரம்’ துரோகம், 'நாடோடிகள்’ நட்பு கலக்கிக் குலுக்கினாலும் 'சுந்தர பாண்டிய’னை ரசிக்கவைத்திருக்கிறார் அறிமுக இயக்குநர் எஸ்.ஆர்.பிரபாகரன். நட்பு, காதல், மோதல்... சசியின் ஹோம் கிரவுண்ட். ஆனால், இந்த முறை முறைப்பு, விறைப்பு எல்லாம் கடாசிவிட்டு, செம காமெடிக் கச்சேரி நடத்தியிருக்கிறார். முன் பாதி முழுக்க ரஜினி ரசிகனாக, ரஜினி மேனரிஸத்துடன் உலவுவது, திருமணமான அத்தைப் பெண்ணை வம்புக்கு இழுப்பது, நட்புக்காக அடிதடியில் இறங்குவது என தெக்கத்திப் பக்க வெட்டி ஆபீஸரைக் கண் முன் நிறுத்துகிறார். 'அட, ஒரு பொண்ணுக்காகவா இப்படி வெட்டிக்குவாங்க... குத்திக்குவாங்க!’ என்ற 'லாஜிக்’ உதைக்கவே இல்லை... லட்சுமி மேனனைப் பார்க்கும்போது! அத்தனாம் பெரிய கண்களை உருட்டி அதட்டும்போதும், வெட்கப்படும்போதும்... தாவணி போட்ட தீபாவளியிடம் அள்ளுது அழகு. நீங்கள்லாம் நல்லா வரணும் லட்சுமி!
இடைவேளை வரை பேருந்துப் பயணங்களி லேயே கழியும் திரைக்கதைக்கு டாப் கியர் வேகம் தட்டுவது சூரியின் காமெடிதான். 'கொஞ்சம் கோ-ஆபரேட் பண்ணுங்க பாஸ்’ என்று அப்புக்குட்டியிடம் சமாதானம் பேசுவதும் நடுங்கும் கைகளுடன் 'இந்தக் கையைப் பிடிச்சு கம்பியில வைடா!’ என அதட்டுவதுமாக பளிச் பஞ்ச்களில் கிச்சுக்கிச்சுகிறார். ஆச்சர்ய மாகப் பல சமயங்களில் 'அடக்கி’ வாசித்தும் அப்ளாஸ் வாங்குகிறார்.
சசியின் அப்பாவாக வரும் நரேன், லட்சுமி மேனனின் அப்பாவாக வரும் தென்னவன்... அந்தப் பாத்திரப் படைப்பும் அதை அவர்கள் அச்சு அசலாக வார்த்திருப்பதும்... கம்பீரம்! காதல், நட்பு, துரோகம், ஊர்ப் பெரியவர் என க்ளிஷேவாகப் பயணிக்கும் படத்தில் அந்த அத்தைப் பெண் கதாபாத்திரம்... அட! திருமணமான பிறகும் அத்தைப் பையன் சசிகுமாருடன் சவடால் அடிப்பதும், 'ஆங்... பாயாசத்துக்கு’என முந்திரிப் பருப்பை நொறுக்குவதுமாக வசீகரிக்கி றார் ஜானகி. 'எதிரியை அழிக்க நினைக்கக் கூடாது... ஜெயிக்க நினைக்கணும்!’, 'எதிரியே இல்லைன்னா, நாம வாழலாம். ஆனா, வளர முடியாது’, 'வீட்டுல இருந்து வெளியில போறப்ப எல்லாம், 'பார்த்துப் பழகு... பார்த்துப் பழகு’னு சொல்லுவாங்க. பழகுன நீங்களே இப்படிப் பண்ணினா யாரைடா நம்புறது?’ போன்ற வசனங்கள் ஆங்காங்கே நச்!
ஜன்னல் இருக்கை பேருந்துப் பயண சுவாரஸ் யம் அளிக்கிறது பிரேம்குமாரின் ஒளிப்பதிவு. தடதடவெனப் பயணித்தாலும் இடைவேளைக்குப் பிறகான திருப்பங்களை சசிகுமார் படங்களை மட்டுமே பார்த்தவர்களாலும் சொல்ல முடியுமே! அத்தனை தர்மவானாக, மனசாட்சிக்கு விரோதம் இல்லாமல் நடக்கும் சசிகுமார், ஏன் அப்பாவுக்கு உதவியாக இல்லாமல் டீக்கடை பெஞ்சிலேயே பொழுதைப் போக்குகிறார்?
ஆனால், இது எதையும் கவனத்தில் கொள்ளவைக்காமல் ரசிக்கவைக்கிறான் நம்ம 'சுந்தர பாண்டியன்’!

Watched it..

First half..Could not enjoy much after 30 mins.. romba porumaya sodhichitaanga..
Second half was much better.. Some scenes were really good..

Sasikumar was really pathetic.. Please stop ur acting and do concentrate in direction..
Heroine, Heroine friend and soori were good..

Otherthan sagikala sasikumar.. Everyone did their job well..

Watched it. Fairly entertaining. The first half was ok barring a few laughs from Parotta suri, but it was the second half that was actually entertaining. The same template from that of Nadodigal is followed. The hero adored by his family, having a bunch of friends who are solely dependent on him for almost anything and then the twist at the interval. The climax was predictable and the dialogue at the end was just ...enna oru altruism.....

Nice watchable entertainer. The predominant things normally associated with sasi kumar's movies like natpu,throgham are once again focussed here strongly. But again realistic and well etched characters coupled with a great madurai feel make us to connect to the movie. Right from the chinna gounder days or even before, the panchayat scenes always looks contrived but here its a revelation.Some twists in the second half were predictable but it didn't affect the engaging screenplay. Only the songs were pretty bad...

the film brilliantly avoids the usual silly brainwashing of protagonists which suppipuram, eesan, nadodigal and almost all ameer, sasi, madurai movies suffer from.....

but apart that and the first scene, its another usual sasikumar venture...........a failed marriage of kalavani and Nadodigal i would say.......i mean mix of a light hearted movie and a serious movie with SMS, MMS to people, adhaanpa messageu.....
