It is pretty incredible, any ways you look at it. Almost all sources now including the ones' which tried to manipulate and underplay Jilla's success have directly/indirectly, willingly/unwillingly have acknowledged the stunning box office prowess of Vijay. Rocking verdict, this.

This is great. So Vijay managed to get the better start (not surprisingly) and despite so called average reviews post release; is also finishing better. Genuine star power on display. Kudos!!!

Better Start, Better Finish and the Last Laugh

Having tracked Jilla's fortunes since the pre-release days, I have never felt more confident on Illayathalapathy's box office capabilities and Star Power than now

    Storming ahead is Illayathalapathy

Family audience = sustaining at box office. Vijay's biggest strength is his family audience base, and although I'd like to see him in the likes of Thuppakki and Thalaivaa, it makes sense he delivers a Pokkiri and Jilla once in a while catering to his 6-60 fanbase.
