AR Murugadoss makes it official!

Today November 13 is Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s AR Murgadoss directed Thuppakki ‘s first anniversary day. The film released on November 13, 2012 and was a mega hit.

Thuppakki is Vijay’s highest collecting film and after that the combo of Vijay-ARM was keen to team up again. Ayngaran International who had produced Vijay’s Villu came forward to back the project.

Now it has become a reality. On Thupakki release anniversary day AR Murgadoss has tweeted : “ I’ m really happy and excited to convey you all that I’ m joining hands with VIJAY sir once again...”

The grapevine has it that the film will start rolling from January 2014. Anirudh has been signed as the music director for the film which may have Samantha as the heroine.

AR Murugadoss – Vijay project for Deepavali 2014?

With Jilla nearing its completion, Vijay is all set to move on to his next project with AR Murugadoss. The yet to be titled project is expected to go on floors immediately after Pongal. To be precise, the team is planning to begin their film between 15th and 18th January 2014.

Samantha will pair up opposite Vijay for the first time and comedian Satish will also do an important part in the movie. Composer Anirudh, cinematographer George C Williams and editor Sreekar Prasad have hopped on board.

The film will be jointly produced by Ayngaran International and Lyca Productions, we hear. It must be noted that Lyca Group, a leading telecom company, is venturing into cinema with this project. AR Murugadoss is planning to complete the shoot in 8 months and it is speculated that this film, like Thuppakki, could be a Deepavali treat

I hope it's in the same vein as Sachien. A more class, less mass love subject. The title 'Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli' was rumoured before Thuppakki was announced. Something along those lines would be nice.
