'Rettai' Thala for 'Thala 55' ?

Thala Ajith has had a long history of successful double-role and multi-role flicks and memorable films such as Vaali, Citizen, Villain, Varalaru and Billa are shining examples of the star's prowess at pulling off such roles with ease.

His upcoming movie with Gautham Menon also looks like a probable addition to Ajith's illustrious double-role films. The film's shoots recently happened in the outskirts of Chennai along the OMR (Old Mahabalipuram Road) and a little birdie at the location was heard saying that the star was playing dual roles - that of a policeman and also the villain in the film.

The film's shoots are mostly being done at night in Chennai and 2 schedules have already been completed. Ajith is currently sporting his natural gray hair and a neat crew cut. We have to see if he would go for another look, if he is indeed playing a dual role as speculated.

Amit Bhargav bags Gautham Menon’s film
Bangalore boy Amit Bhargav, who has played Alia Bhatt's suitor in 2 States, is on a signing spree. The young actor has bagged two Tamil films.
While the first one is the Tamil remake of the Kannada film Lucia, the second is Gautham Vasudev Menon's upcoming project starring Anushka Shetty and Ajith. Thrilled about bagging Gautham's film, Amit says, "I will be playing the role of Anushka's beau. The scene has already been shot and it was a wonderful experience to shoot with senior people in the industry."

விஜய் நடிக்கும் கத்தி, சூர்யா நடிக்கும் அஞ்சான் படங்களில் இந்திய அளவில் நடக்கும் தீவிரவாத பிரச்னைகளை மையப்படுத்தி கதை உருவாகியுள்ளது. ஆனால், ஜீவா நடிக்கும் யான் படமோ சர்வதேச பிரச்னையை மையப்படுத்தும் கதையில் தயாராகிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. ஆனால், அஜீத் நடிக்கும் 55வது படமோ, லோக்கல் பிரச்னையை மையமாகக்கொண்டு உருவாகிறது.

அந்த வகையில் முழுக்க முழுக்க சென்னையில் நடக்கும் ஒரு பிரச்னைய வைத்துதான் கதை பண்ணியுள்ளார் கெளதம்மேனன். அதனால் படத்தின் மொத்த படப்பிடிப்பும் சென்னையைச்சுற்றித்தான் நடக்க உள்ளதாம். ஆரம்பத்தில் ஈசிஆர் சாலையில் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்தியவர்கள், பின்னர் சென்னை மவுண்ட் ரோட்டில் எடுத்தனர். அதையடுத்து இப்போது கொட்டிவாக்கம் பகுதியில் நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

இதன்பிறகு சென்னையை சுற்றியுள்ள சில பகுதிகளிலும் அவுட்டோர் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட காட்சிகளை படமாக்கி விட்டு, பின்னர் தற்போது உருவாகி வரும் செட்டுக்குள்ளேயே பாடல், சண்டை காட்சிகள் என பெரும்பாலான காட்சிகளை படமாக்குகிறாராம் கெளதம்மேனன். மேலும்,. தற்போது சால்ட் அண்ட் பெப்பர் கெட்டப்பில் நடிக்கும் அஜீத் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட காட்சிகளை மட்டுமே படமாக்கி வரும் கெளதம், யூத் அஜீத் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட காட்சிகளை ஒரு மாத கேப் கொடுத்து அஜீத்தின் உடம்பை இன்னும் குறைத்து அவரது ஹேர் ஸ்டைலையும் கருப்பாக மாற்றி படமாக்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளாராம்.
