One of my friend studied upto PUC. He discontinued his education. Now he completed PG through Correspondence course.
Let me know whether he can study any Professional course like, CA, ACS, or ICWA.

    Please do reply and advice.

    abkhlabhi,

Any person who has commerce background(or otherwise too )
can take up ENTRANCE EXAMS and apply for any of those professional courses. If u are a graduate u need nto write
    entrace exam.

ALL of these courses calls for TREMENDOUS hardwork. I am sure ur
    friend can do.

please ask him to contact the proper instt (prof inst for respective courses)

For example for AICWAI the instt southern regional instt is IN EGMORE (in chennai) The head office in CALCUTTA.

My question is whether Degree from Correspondence couse is recognised by these prof. instiutions. Even their prospectus are not giving clear definitions. Since my friend is very eagar to pursue further studies and he is around forty plus. Or what are the other courses he can do

I think deg from corres IS SUFFICIENT. (provided degree is from recognised university) Please call the instt and confirm for further details. Sometimes ppl dont give right kinda response when needed. Please go in person.

Ur friend is FORTY PLUS????????? :O well I congratulate his enthu. Believe me, these courses I REPEAT NEEDS TREMENDOUS(UNDERLINE THAT) effort. He can opt for classes conducted by the instt itself, rather than pursuing it on his own.

In case u wanna do courses in finance... i guess

ICFAI, MBA etc are other options. (mba is not a prob
    since he has completed PG)

I have restricted to mentioning PROFESSIONAL courses only.

Other alternatives are diplomas available in fin courses,
which though would not give u prof cadre, is sufficient enough
to climb up the ladder in orgn, to a decent level.

    Hai,

Very interesting and useful site. thanks, for ur opinion and advise. Since my friend wasted his youth days by roaming with friends and movies , now he realised the value of education. Without education we are Zero. Somehow he settled in life now he want to do some prof.course.
