KSR is someone who gives due credit to his writers. Ramesh Khanna in many films, Ravi Chakravarthy are examples. Not sure why someone like him will even steal a story.

These plagiarism complaints are getting out of hand and hope the court slaps some huge penalties if the allegations are found to be false.

These things have become quite common these days, these issues are usually created but "not so famous dundaunakkas", hoping that they can become famous by creating such issues!

Ya but there are some directors who steal screenplays. Or maybe these things are planned by the director and his group to garner some free publicity.

I guess it would be something like this...... I (not me literally....but some X) am an upcoming or famous director shooting a film.... at a particular point in the film I don't know how to move the scene from there and I feel the writers' block with the pressure blocking my creative sense...... I visit some web pages / blog and read the discussion happening there.........some random person's thought process / some story or idea breaks the ice in me and I take the knot from there..give it my own flavor and add to the movie.......... now in this case..... how to give credit to that person............

(inspired by Shankar's interview where he said during the making of enthiran he felt very pressurized and went to see three idiots movie after which he felt relaxed....... may be frm that movie he could have got the idea behind the scene where Chitti performed the baby delivery)

லிங்கா’ பாடல்கள் பராக் பராக்..! உச்சக்கட்டப் பரபரப்பை நெருங்கிவிட்ட ‘லிங்கா’ படத்தின் பாடல் உருவாக்கம் குறித்து கவிப்பேரரசு வைரமுத்துவோடு உரையாடினேன்…
”ரஜினி படங்களுக்கு என ஸ்பெஷலாக எழுதுவதாக உங்கள் மீது செல்லமாக ஒரு குற்றச்சாட்டு உண்டு!”

”சிறப்பாக எழுதுகிறோம் என்பது உண்மை; குற்றச்சாட்டு என்பது பொய். எல்லோருக்கும் சிறப்பாகவே எழுதுகிறோம். ரஜினி பாடல்கள் மட்டும் கூர்ந்து கவனிக்கப்படுகின்றன. காரணம், சமூகத்தின் தட்பவெப்பத்தோடு ரஜினி படங்கள் சம்பந்தப்பட்டிருப்பது அல்லது சம்பந்தப்படுத்தப்படுவது!”
”எப்படி?”

”இந்தப் படப் பணியின்போது நான் கண்டுகொண்ட ரஜினியின் சமூக அக்கறை, அவர் மீதுகொண்ட அன்பை அதிகப்படுத்தியது. ஒவ்வொரு படத்திலும் அவருக்கான அறிமுகப் பாடல் எங்களுக்கு ஓர் அறைகூவல். இந்தக் காலகட்டத்தில் எதை உள்ளடக்கமாக வைப்பது என்பதில் எங்களுக்கு மண்டை உடையும்; சண்டை நிகழும். இயக்குநரும் பாடலாசிரியரும் இசையமைப்பாளரும் தீர்மானிக்கும் நல்ல வரிகளை ரஜினி பெரும்பாலும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்; தலையிட மாட்டார். ஆனால் ‘லிங்கா’ படத்தின் பாடலில் ரசிகர்கள் மீதுகொண்ட அன்பு காரணமாக, ‘எதிலும் அளவோடு இருங்கள்; எல்லை தாண்டாதீர்கள்’ என்ற கருத்தை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தச் சொன்னார். அவர் கேட்டுக்கொண்டபடி பாட்டு வரிகளைத் தீட்டியிருக்கிறேன்!”

”பாடல் பதிவின்போது உங்களுக்குள் மோதல் வருவது உண்டா?”
”உண்டு. அதற்கு நீங்கள் வைத்த பெயர் மோதல்; நாங்கள் வைத்த பெயர் ஊடல். ‘லிங்கா’வில் வருகிற ஒரு காதல் பாடலில் அந்த ஊடல் நிகழ்ந்தது. ரஜினியைப் பார்த்து சோனாக்ஷி சின்ஹா பாடுகிறார்…
‘என்னைவிட என்னைவிட அழகி உண்டு – ஆனால்
உன்னைவிட உன்னைவிட அழகன் இல்லை!’ என எழுதியிருந்தேன்.
பாடல் ஒலிப்பதிவின்போது ‘ ‘அழகன்’ இல்லை என்ற வரிக்குப் பதிலாக ‘தலைவன்’ இல்லை என மாற்றிக் கொள்ளலாமா?’ என்று கேட்டார் கே.எஸ்.ரவிகுமார். ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மானும் அதைப் பலமாக ஆதரித்தார். நான் சொன்னேன்… ‘பொருந்தாது; என்னைவிட என்னைவிடத் தலைவி உண்டு. ஆனால், உன்னைவிட உன்னைவிடத் தலைவன் இல்லை’ என எழுதலாம். ‘அழகி’ என சொன்னவுடன் ‘அழகன்’ எனச் சொல்வதுதான் இயல்பு என்றேன். ஆனால், பல காரணங்கள் சொல்லி என்னைச் சம்மதிக்க வைத்துவிட்டார்கள். படப்பிடிப்பின்போது பாடலைக் கேட்ட ரஜினிகாந்த், ‘இப்போது இருக்கிற சூழலில், ‘உன்னைவிட உன்னைவிடத் தலைவன் இல்லை’ என்பது தேவையா?’ என என் சார்பாகப் பேசியிருக்கிறார். ஆனால், ஒலிப்பதிவு முடிந்துவிட்டது. ‘தலைவன்’ என்றுதான் பாடல் வருகிறது.
அந்தப் பாடல் இதுதான்…

Your Honor Shankar is the last person we should be talking about " when it comes to get inspired" , the whole damn movie was a ripoff of an 1990 Hollywood movie with a dash of ash and Indian Oorld mujik and of course chitti running sideways to save his Dash and Ash!

Its a good conversation to have for keeping Hub open for business, but seriously there is nothing honest about Indian film making baring very small percentage .Majority of the movies produced in Indian (not just amma-nadu) is either copied , stolen or what is that new word "Inspired!". It is happening at multiple levels now that increasing number of people are seeing it, its getting some attention das all
