Kamal Haasan and Gautham Menon team up for a sequel?



Kalaignani Kamal Haasan will be acting in a sequel for the first time in his career if the latest rumors have to be believed.

Latest buzz in Kollywood is that the 'Thoongavanam' star will be acting in the sequel to 'Seevalaperipandi' the blockbuster film of the year 1994.

'Seevalperipandi' was based on the life of a person named Pandi who lived in the Seevalaperi village of Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu long before. The film was directed by Prathap Pothen with Napoleon playing the titular role. This was Napoleon's first film as the hero and also a pivotal film in the actor's long career.

Now it is said that P.G.Srikanth, the producer of 'Seevalaperipandi' is planning a sequel with Kamal Haasan in the lead role and Gautham Vasudev Menon as the director.

If the plans attain fruition, the film will mark the reunion of Kamal and Gautham after almost a decade. The duo had teamed up earlier to deliver the super hit thriller 'Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu' in the year 2006. It will also be the first rural based film of Gautham who is known for stylish films based in urban locales.

We will have to wait for an official confirmation before coming to a conclusion.

அடுத்தப் படத்திற்கு 50 நாட்கள் ஒதுக்கிய கமல்



கமல் நடிப்பில் தற்போது வெளியாகி திரையரங்குகளில் வெற்றிகரமாக ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் படம் ‘தூங்காவனம்’. இதில் கமலுடன் திரிஷா, கிஷோர், யூகிசேது உள்ளிட்ட பலர் நடித்திருந்தார்கள். இப்படத்தை ராஜ்கமல் பிலிம்ஸ் தயாரித்திருந்தது. இப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு சில நாட்களிலேயே விறுவிறுப்பாக முடிந்தது.

தற்போது தான் நடிக்கும் அடுத்த படத்தையும் 50 நாட்களில் முடிக்க கமல் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளார். இப்படத்தின் திரைக் கதையை கமல் எழுத, பிரபல மலையாளப் பட இயக்குனர் டி.கே.ராஜீவ்குமார் இயக்குகிறார். 26 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு ராஜீவ் குமாருடன் கமல் இணைகிறார். இதற்கு முன் 1989ல் இவர்கள் கூட்டணியில் சாணக்யன் (மலையாளம்) வெளிவந்தது.

குடும்ப பின்னணியில் நகைச்சுவை சார்ந்த படமாக இப்படத்தை உருவாக்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளனர். இதில் பாலிவுட் நடிகை ஜரீனா மற்றும் அமலா அக்கினேனி ஆகியோர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்க இருக்கிறார்.

ராஜ் கமல் இன்டர்நேஷனல் தயாரிக்கும் இந்த புதிய படத்தின் பெரும்பாலான காட்சிகள் நியூயார்க்கில் மற்றும் ஜியார்ஜியாவில் 50 நாட்களுக்குள் படமாக்கப்பட உள்ளன. அடுத்த ஆண்டு ஜனவரி மாதம் முதல் இப்படத்தின் வேலைகள் துவங்கும் என எதிர்ப்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இப்படம் தமிழ்-மலையாளம் என இருமொழிகளில் உருவாக்கப்பட இருக்கிறது.
