It was in the shooting of this movie I think that KB once said in an interview - while seeing Rajini descend down the stairs in style, he wanted that to be filmed/shot and asked him to repeat it for which Rajini went up the stairs in the same style!

Yes, actually when KB was not OK with the shot, he wished to reshoot it, meaning Rajini had to go up the stairs and descend again. When he shouted CUT, Rajini ascended the stairs with the same speed and style but backwards. Iranguna Maariye Yeri Irrukaru.

i don't think its true. in a kumudam interview few years ago, ilayaraja mentioned that rajni refused to act in the 'amma endru azhaikatha' song as it did not suit his image. p.vasu asked IR to convince rajni. IR just made a phone call and rajni agreed to do it.
