'indRu nee nAlai nAn' (Sivakumar/Lakshmi starrer with the song `pon vAnam panneer thoovudhu innEram') is based on a novel by Su Samuthiram (I think) that appeared on `malaimathi' (published by Kumudam on a monthly basis for a while as `idhu varai vandhirAdha pudhu novel')...I think the novel also had the same name...
