    Surya! Thank you so much for starting this thread..but i have to warn you this is much like my english movies preferences...i have so many....and i dont want to just say famous books like i did for tamil movies....really i thought of starting this thread myself..but then...anyways Thank you! I try hard to pin down my faves among faves....which is going to be tough...i think if you removed some of that paint ya...you could type better atleast i cannot read tamil enough to read novels....so you are saved in that aspect:P

    Wow, we have a harry potter fan here. I've seen the movies, which are just ok, but I guess that the books are much better like always.

    you are right. although the films quite ok but they failed to impress the ardent harry potter readers and jk rowling's supporter.

    annamalaifan, I'm a Harry Potter fan too

    And Surya, you are just 25 and have you read up all the books on earth? My, you are a voracious reader, aren't you? That's just great.

    I used to be like you but not anymore.

    But my all time favourite writers are W. Somerset Maugham, R.K Narayan, Pearl S. Buck and Erich Segal.
    Enid Blyton & J.K Rowling too.
