    Mediocre food and pathetic service.
Havent been to that branch but the one in Pondy Bazaar is pure gold. The service sucks there too but the taste is awesome. There's one in San Francisco which is terrific too.

    Texas area
    Settinad palace, Dallas - bestest.
Udipi - Hilcroft, Houston - Excellent veggie buffet on weekends
Madras Pavilion, Austin - Much better than the madras pavilions in houston, Dallas.
Istanbul Grill - Kirby, Houston, right next to little woodrows - Best middle eastern food in the Texas area.

there is a decent spread as well..but before going for the spread u would have filled ur stomach with the barbeques..

but on the downside - its a bit monotonous...not like anjappar or ponnusamy types where we order for a parotta saalna at the start..then order mutton briyani, chilli chicken, omlette and fish fry...edhai edukka edhai vidukka ..apdilam illa..

u go there...they palce barbeques...have it half stomach..and then try the spread

    Thanks joe
Well, that is affordable in the mid-range
How about some just above-average ones?

Have you tried Santhi Vilas (Veg)? Their dosais were good, (but they have somewhat deteriorated in quality and taste the past few years. Nevertheless it is some good value for your money)
