The best actress in the world
Should be Monica Bellucci.
Malena, irreversible, Tears of Sun , Under Suspicion, Mediterranees,
passion of christ....a very long list.
She also stays away from the usual hollywood crap and only turns out if the role is exceptional

If this thread is abt best actress apart from looks, then i would say Sandra Bullock. I started liking her after watching miss congeniality. She was marvelous in congeniality, speed, 2 weeks notice,............
Ofcourse, she has a modertate look. but, her comic, childish, innocent performance is very attractive more than looks.

Charlize Theron...such a versatile actress.
Condolences to family/friends of Heath Ledger: a rising star, whose life was tragically cut short
