What is the cause of failure

Can any one think of why, Anbe Sivam, one of the finest movies made in Tamil Cinema, failed so badly in the box office?

I agree that Anbe Sivam is one of the best movies ever to appear in this industry that is otherwise heavily lacking in quality stories or good character acting...the fact that such a movie fails is a disgrace..

maybe kamal was asking too much of the common viewer. maybe in ten years?

The very thing is kamal is going a decade forward in tamil cinema... For ex GUNAA ... failed to make hit but little similar to Gunaa kadhal konden became hit...

Take Hey Raam.. i've watched it more than 4 times still i cant understand d story...

His works r grt... Wen i saw Anbe sivam wow thts tremondous work he did...
