I dint have complaints with MS winning the best director and his speech was awesome to say the least :P

But D winning the best pictures was surprising to me.. I was betting for babel :P

Finally they gave it to Scorcese. I See this more of a sympathy Oscar, like they did with Newman and Pacino. The Departed is a damned good thriller for a normal director, but for Scorsese, it's not his best work. But what the hell, I am happy for the poor guy who shoulda got it long time ago.

Here's the list of all the nominees + winners...

The word around here is that the Oscars was way too wrong, due to long speeches and all. I was too tired to stay up for ALL of it, but there were many memorable aspects like the comedian-attack song with Will Ferrell, Jack Black singing about comedians always being left out from the Oscars. Also Will Smith's son presenting an award. So cute!

Ellen Degeneres look uncomfortable initially but then eased down and cracked some funny jokes...Her best statement/joke of the night

“Jennifer Hudson was on American Idol and America didn’t vote for her, and yet she’s here with an Oscar nomination.

“And then, Al Gore is here, and America DID vote for him, then...”

So hilarious!!
