Is QOS better than Craig's pervious version???

Just returned from watching the latest Bond movie.

Burning questions:

Can Daniel sustain
Will QoS be as good as Casino Royale
Are Bond movies outdated?

ha ha! you are qucik Yoga.

1. the opening sequence is
a. much shorter
b. quite straight forward
c. related to the main storyline

thus one begins with disappointment,

2. immediately after the opening sequence we await the fantastic 007 music.
again we are disappointed when the much loved adrenalin pumping music is no longer there.

3. bond, james bond
this immortal line is not there either!

4. shaken not stirred... expecting this would be silly.

I liked "Casino royale". And from what I hear, I'd like QoS a little less. Daniel Craig has made us forget Brosnan, and in many ways, brought substance to the character, no surprise for I consider him a capable actor.

And from what I hear, QoS looks, and feels like Greengrass's Bourne series. The good ol' bond style, and the fun is lost, apparently. I'm not complaining. :P

thilak, if you liked CR, you will certainly enjoy QoS. where he lacks in much-expected-wit-from-bond, he makes up with his body language. he gives a completely different make over to bond and there is no use comparing him with previous bonds.

yes, you should have. was caught in the jam and by the time I was at the counter they had already released my bookings. BUT I got better seats from free booking. :P Crowd was less than 50 and no, it was normal cinema as I missed THX.

The story for those who want to know....

'Quantum of Solace' continues the high octane adventures of James Bond from 'Casino Royale'. Picking up literally days where the previous film left off, after being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Having captured Mr. White, and in pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and 'M' interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper to steal Bond's casino winnings is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Forensic intelligence links an MI6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille, a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene, a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious criminal organisation known only as 'Quantum'.

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the worlds most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano. Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a nameless Latin American country, giving General Medrano control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land which is, however, a main source of the South American water supply.

In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists, and even 'M' herself, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop Quantum from getting its way.

Anyway, for me, despite the initial disappointment, Quantum of Solace was an adrenalin pumpping non stop action thriller. A Definite MUST watch!
