the information about the removal of the song in Thangapadhakkam is new to me also.

but possibilities also there, because Keralites at that time were more attached with 'yadhaarththam' and they might have think how a man (a police officer) can sing in that situation.

Dear Karthik,

Senthil is right. As for as I have noticed most of the Kerala people used to sing Sodhanai Mel Sodhanai song and I am given to understand the song was definitely there. In fact the song as well as the movie was a big hit in Kerala. So much so, when TP was remade in Malayalam with Madhu playing NT’s role and Jayan playing Srikanth’s role, it was big failure in BO, I was told.
