    Meaning of NAMES.!.. "Anna-durai "...and....?

    .

    .Meaning of NAMES... "ANNA-DURAI"... and...?

Many are under the WRONG INFERENCE... on the meaning of Some Names.!

    For Example... ANNADURAI.?

.Wikepedia. says... "ANNA" in the Name "ANNA-DURAI" means ELDER-BROTHER...here.!.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C._N._Annadurai

Does "ANNA" means. here.. as ELDER-BROTHER.?..

Then does the Name and Word: ANNAMALAI... means ELDER-BROTHER'S MOUNTAIN.?

Elder-brother is also ..ONE of its SEVERAL MEANINGS...

..which is NOT APPLICABLE here... under this contexr.

    ANNA = Inaccessible / Unreachable / Far apart / Supreme / Top-most Leader / Fore-most

    .... / அண்ண முடியாதவர்... எட்ட இயலாதவர்... [இடை-வெளி தூரத்தாலோ அல்லது தகுதி உயர் தரத்தாலோ]

DURAI = Ruler / Commander / Supreme authority.

In fact... ANNADURAI denotes the SUN...

...as also the DIVINE JOTHI.. So called PARANJOTHI.

    ..and also the SUPREME GOD.!

    அண்மை only means RECENT.

If we consider அண்ணா ... as Adjective, meaning as INACCESSIBLE then...

..its Opposite word to mean ACCESSIBLE is... அண்ணு = அண்ண இயல்கிற

    அண்ணு X அண்ணா

    அண்ணா (அண்ணவொண்ணா / அண்ண முடியாத / நெருங்க இயலாத

But if we take அண்ணா as Nown... to mean as ELDER BROTHER...

...then there is No Opposite.. but only the Feminine Gender அக்கா.

    Oh ok.

I was under the impression that அண்மை also meant "near" and that the usage had falled out of circulation over the ages. Much like the word சமீபம், which used to mean recent but also close in terms of distance, but now means only 'recent'.
