Courtesy Rajinikanth, Sony garners highest incremental GRPs in Week 22
Mumbai, June 02, 2011 -
The win arrives piggy-backing on the
Rajinikanth-starrer Robot, which was telecast twice on Sunday, May 2, to
contribute approximately 33 GRPs to the overall channel grade.
Sony Entertainment Television has garnered the highest incremental
GRPs in the Hindi GEC segment, for the week ended May 28, 2011, to add
as many as 34 GRPs to its kitty.
The win was primarily due to the Rajinikanth-starrer Robot that was
telecast twice on Sunday, May 22. It has contributed approximately 33
GRPs to the overall channel grade. The movie was aired at 12 noon, and 8
pm on the same day, to deliver TVRs of 2.4 and 2.5, respectively.
As a result, Sony's channel share has also improved from 11.5 per cent in Week 21, to 14.3 per cent in Week 22.

I think the idea of Rajini singing a song is to keep the media busy. I don't think Rajini will sing a song again for a movie.

that last voice of Rajini which was etched in my heart and still haunts me is his 'fighting for life' voice released before he went to singapore...

Very true. i was saying the same to my friend. After 'oruvan oruvan', it wouldve been the best intro for Rajni.
