5. Keethu mOgandAs – Left-field choice. The oddness of the pair reflected in the story as well – handsome, lady-killer, (per story) conservative and touch-me-not Maddy and plain, dark, unattractive Geethu but it worked well.
6. Simran – I share Grouch’s reservations over her but among available choices one can’t deny her vengala kiNNam – pArthAlE paravasam and kannathil muthamittAl
7. Shalini – once nominated, poll favourite given her fans in Hub, I’ll have to get SP and Feeyaar back to defeat her; nevertheless, looked good with Maddy in alai pAyuthae and for that reason, her normal supporters(she isn’t supposed to look good with, er, Maddy!) may not actually vote so I withdraw that poll favourite status from her  - alai pAyuthE

After Thalaivar, I think Maddy is the best Romantic hero. So it's no surprise that most of the heroines, incl. the few whose persona don't suggest intimacy, seen invariably better with him around!
