As pointed out by You & Mr.Rakesh, I also strongly feel that the Hollywood Actor mentioned by NT in the interview was James Francis Cagney and its upto Raghavendran Sir to give it a confirmation.

Whenever he found time & permission during his hectic stage(only) schedule from 1935 to 1950, NT watched a good number of Hollywood Movies and these films were a source of inspiration for his stupendous stage career & performance. This info. has been disclosed by him in many interviews.

In fact, Our NT was a frequent visitor with his family to Chennai Casino Theatre in order to view Friday Hollywood releases during late 1960s & 1970s. [At that point of time he was so busy - highly hectic schedule in filmdom, stage & politics].

நமது சிவாஜி அவர்கள் நடிப்பில் மட்டும் திலகம் அல்ல, சிறந்த ரசிப்பிலும் திலகம்தான் !

குறிப்பு:
பற்பல உலகப்பெரு நடிகர்களின் நடிப்பையும் ரசித்து விட்டு, அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் மிஞ்சும் வண்ணம் தன் நடிப்பில் செய்து காட்டுகிறார் பாருங்கள், அதுதான் நமது நடிகர் திலகத்தின் தனிச்சிறப்பு.
